soojeong had gone to school the next day–as per usual. strolling down the hallway, with no intention of speeding her tracks, she proceeded to head toward the two cheerful figures that stood next to one of the classroom doors.

then
she passed by them.

"did you hear about jungkook, last night?"

her strides became slower.
she didn't want to know
but
she did want to know.

"someone saw him coming out of han yoora's house."

she shook her head frantically.

and ignored her friend's hollers and exclamations, in a depressed stupor. shutting all noise out of her distraught mind.
except for

someone saw him coming out of han yoora's house.

soojeong couldn't face them.
haneul,
especially chunhwa.
dhe didn't want her negative attitude to reflect on to them, but she could see clearly what was going to happen if she kept doing so–

"what the hell?! we're you're friends! you can't act like this for the rest of your life! i'll fight you if i have to!"

chunhwa had a scarily strong grip on soojeong's blotched, white school shirt. eyes spouting fire into hers.
she was not one to be messed around with.

haneul was stood plainly beside the two; watching innocently with tinted cheeks and pout that formed on her lips.

"we know it's about yoora." she said, sorrowfully,

soojeong glanced over at her with pitiful eyes.

"well don't just stand there, hit that yoora girl!!" chunhwa exclaimed, enraged.

soojeong sighed and weakly pushed her away–somehow, chunhwa retreated and
gave her a sympathetic look.

"i can't." she breathed.

"but there's nothing wrong about worrying. it's like a wall you need to overcome, to make it to the next level. if you're running up against that wall, it means you're moving forward." chunhwa paused.

"i wonder how many walls i've broken up until now, but if you want to move yourself, you'll never get anywhere."

their emotive faces filled the, now, empty hallway; showcasing a desperate try to relieve their friend of despair and heartache.

"you can't lose jungkook to a girl like that." haneul encouraged and bumped shoulders with a woeful soojeong.

she glanced away from them, in thought.

maybe i'm being a coward.
perhaps,
if i want to make this work,

i should face my feelings.

i do
love
him, after all.

。。。

at the right time,
by chance,
jungkook

"soojeong-ah!"

called her name from the end of the hallway.

he ran up to her,
as if she was the mouse, his prey.
huffing and puffing, he leant on his knees for support
and looked up.
her eyes were bright as she
made her move.

spontaneously, she pulled herself toward him and kissed him directly. everything that she couldn't say out loud; all that he meant to her;
spoken through the actions of a heart-wrenching collision.

this
this will change everything.
not conversation.

as they became more immersed in their bulletproof connection,
applauses and cheers exited the exasperated teen girls' mouths,
glad–
more than glad,
that they were able to withhold a stronger bond.

they really deserved it.
