The words left my mouth before I could fully process what I had just said.

Jaebum gulped, running his fingers through his hair.

" Youngjae, I can't steal something like that from you. I want it to happen on its own. "

I nodded, slightly hurt. I stood up from the bed, Jaebum's sweater falling off my shoulder a bit.

I wrapped my arms around him, just hugging him and breaking down.

" I couldn't wish for a better person in my life. You're so considerate and- "

I looked up at him, stopping my words for a second.

I examined his eyes, using my hand to push back the strands of hair that had fallen over his eyes.

" I love you. "

I saw the tears well up in his eyes, his lip quivering.

He slid his arms down to my thighs, lifting me up as I wrapped my legs around his waist.

He buried his head in my neck, crying and muttering words that I had longed to hear.

" I love you too. "

I gently tugged his head out from my neck, lifting up his chin and connecting my lips to his.

If this is what being in love feels like, then I think I want to feel like this everyday.

Kissing him was like watching a lotus flower bloom.

The diverse colors extending to the exterior while the middle stayed pure. Connected to a root burying itself into the water, in this case, his body.

He made me feel like I was the only person that mattered.

Never in my life, had I felt as though I was important to somebody. Until I met him.

He meant everything.

It felt amazing to not have to hide who I was for once. But instead thrive.

My life changed when I stumbled upon a shy employee at a cafe. Little did I know that he would become my safe haven.

He somehow knew how to light up my world within only a few seconds.

His touch sent chills throughout my spine everytime he held me.

After my father passed, I knew only the touch of my eomma's fist.

But he made everything okay.

Im Jaebum is in fact, the only thing I hold on to and wake up everyday for.

I guess you could say true love really does exist.
