You held the two tickets in front of Joshua, your best friend. You began to softly wave them in the breeze with delight. Joshua stared at you quizzically, confused at your happiness.

"There's going to be a school sleepout tonight. I got tickets for the two of us!" You beamed. You could see on Joshua's face that he remembered. Your school held an annual sleep out at the back of the school during Summer. Students would pitch tents, hold barbeques and stay up until dawn. However every year they sold out before you could buy the tickets. Luckily, this year was your year.

Joshua smiled softly and held your gently wrist to stop you from waving the tickets. "That's great, but we don't have a tent," Joshua said dismayed.

"We can rent one." You smiled and pulled your hand away from his, putting the tickets away safely into your bag.

"But it's tonight..." He began, but you cut him off.

"No 'but's! I'll make sure we get a tent." You nodded your head, convinced. Joshua smiled.

"All right, I'll go with you after school."

Once school had ended, you took Joshua's hand in yours and pulled him along after you. You wanted to get to the shops as quickly as possible so your chance to rent a tent would be higher.

Joshua, like a gentleman, allowed you to take him where ever you pleased without complaints. You sometimes abused it and brought him to the strangest places.

Ahead of you, you could see the cream walls of the shopping district in your sight. You arrived at the shopping district and looked at your wrist to see the time. 13:57.

"Where would you look first?" You asked him, letting go of his hand. You saw a brief look of disappointment in his eyes which turned into suspicion.

"You didn't have a plan?" He smirked and you smiled sheepishly.

"I was going to look when I got here." You mumbled and avoided eye contact. You heard Joshua sigh next to you. He took your hand in his. It was the first time you noticed how soft his hands were and his gentle grip. You two didn't hold hands often, but today you'd been abusing him by pulling him around.

He put his fingers under your chin and lifted your head up to face him, "Let's go find that tent." A smile sneaked it's way to your lips and you nodded energetically.

You followed him down the pavement and turned your head from side to side as you tried to find a store. Suddenly you walked into Joshua when he stopped abruptly.

"Found it." He smiled, you turned your gaze onto the store he was looking at. Tents for rent.

You pushed open the glass door and heard a bell ring as you walked in. Joshua closed the door behind you as you stood on the beige carpet, looking at the tents. Joshua left you and began to talk to the shop assistant. You continued to admire the store, it was small, but cute. You could smell the car air freshener and feel the cold air from the air conditioner.

You felt a tap on your shoulder and came out of your thoughts, looking at Joshua. He held a dark green rolled up tent. Your eyes lit up at the sight to which he returned a smile.

Shortly after, Joshua insisted he would walk you home. You were reluctant because his house was in the opposite direction, but you knew you couldn't convince him otherwise. He always wanted to be a gentleman. Before he left, he told you he'd pick you up in two hours.

You knew you were slow at getting ready, he knew so too. You always started out slowly packing until it was too late when you would need to rush and inevitably be late. This time you were determined to be on time. You hopped into the shower, washing your hair. Once you finished you wrapped a towel around your body and headed into your room and opened your wardrobe. You flipped through your clothes until a (F/C) dress caught your eye. You took the dress and laid it on your bed infront of you. You blow-dried your hair before changing into the dress and put on white sandals.
