A/N: This is just a recap from one of the pervious chapters because you'll be needing it in this one. I'm putting it here incase any of you guys forgot this happened. This was from the chapter "Adios Morgan" when Adriana was talking to Ryder's dad's fiancé at the gala:

"So Adriana, I guess you must be someone really special to Ryder since you're not just some random model," Reyna spoke, trying to make conversation. I chuckled softly at her words.

"Not really, we're just friends." I smiled to make it seem more believable but she didn't look quite convinced. I took a slice from the dessert that was placed in front of me. I had no clue as to what it was but it had chocolate in it so I dug in.

"Oh, come on. Don't worry I won't speak a word of this to anyone." she wrapped her long, slender fingers on the wine glass and took a sip, waiting for me to speak.

"Okay, fine. But promise you won't tell anyone?" she nodded as I pulled off a serious expression. "Ryder and I met a Sunday Church school, we were praising Jesus one second, and the next I found myself tied to a pole, naked. I basically resembled Jesus when he was crucified. He claimed he had some weird connection with the Gods, and I was freaked out. He looked possessed." her olive green eyes resembled saucer plates and an audible gasp escaped her blood red coated lips.

"Anywho, I promised him I wouldn't report him to the police if he took me here, because I really wanted to meet you guys in order to tell you and Mr. Morgan, because honestly," I croaked."I'm traumatized. . . for life." pity and astonishment masked her features, and fear swirled in her eyes. She comforted me and promised that she'll get to the bottom of this, and I nodded, sniffing my nose.

A Kitten in a Cat Fight

Adriana's P.O.V.

The harmonious melody the wind casted swiftly swirled within the air, a flashing azure was painted through the horizon and a sense of serenity masked my soul.

The decision of finalizing and working on homework assigned by my cruel teachers was made by me, but I found myself easily and smoothly losing concentration. The ever so long-lasting train of thoughts I beheld was speeding in an uncontrollable pace. A lingering thought remained plastered in the back of my head and wouldn't dare to leave. The undesirable thoughts were all about my father; the cruel, merciless, and loath consumed man I have known for seven years.

What was immensely odd and completely different about the man I have gotten used to for years was his behavior. He hadn't spawned devastation amongst my body, hadn't spoken a word to me in so long, and had been arriving to his house at ungodly hours. The past couple of days have made my soul feel something that I haven't felt in years; tranquility.

Although an overload of happiness was ridden within my being, a pinch of curiosity and nervousness was there too. It was unlike his character to disappear and not have the sickening need to abuse me. Lately, I didn't even have to cook for him or clean any of his belongings. Never had he asked for any cigars or alcohol to be bought, and it was like heaven. Freedom and liberty—

"You're a pervert."

My head turned to the right to only find the ever so charming young man referred to as The Asshole standing a few inches away from me.
