Harry laid upside down on the couch, flipping through the daily prophet.

"Mione?" He asked. "Hm?" I replied back, leaning back in my armchair and taking a sip of my tea.

"When are we going to get jobs?"

I sat there for a moment, leaning back forward so I could see him. I could hardly take him seriously when he looked this silly.

"Maybe we could have this conversation face to face?" I asked, and he spun right side up.

I closed my book and walked over so I was sitting next to him. "Why do you ask?" I said.

"I'm bored!" He said flatly.

I raised my eyebrows at him. "Why, is it because I'm no fun?"

He looked up, appearing to be comprehending an answer. "Well, not exactly."

"Not exactly?" I said sharply.

"There's an opening, see, for a defense against the dark arts teacher at Hogwarts!" He said, pointing at the daily prophet.

"You have to be 18 to work at Hogwarts," I said, "and you didn't even finish your studies!"

"Well, I think someone would still hire me! I could apply next month!" I crossed my arms. "The job will be taken by next month."

"Trust me, Hermione! No one else wants that job!" He said, looking exasperated.

I smiled, looking at his messy hair and crooked glasses. I almost leaned in to fix them, but I seemed to like them better this way.

"What am I going to do?" I asked, "Sit here at home, make your meals and do your laundry?"

"There's a librarian opening, too!" He exclaimed. "That would be perfect for you!"

He looked like a small child, his eyes wide and a huge grin on his cheeky face.

"Harry, we just moved here. Are we, you, really ready to get a job?"

Harry huffed, sulking back into his spot.

"Why don't we go out today?" I said hopefully. He looked up at me. "Where?"

"I don't understand why you're making me wear a blind fold," said Harry, irritated. I grasped his hand and smiled. "Just wait!"

He looked forward, and I thought of the location over and over again until we snapped into a twirly mess.

My feet slammed onto the ground and I looked around. "Ah, yes! Here we are!" I said.

"I'm cold," Harry complained. I swatted his arm. "Oh, will you stop being so annoying?! Take off your blindfold!"

Harry grabbed the fabric and took it off, look around. "Hermione! You brought us to, Hogsmede?" His eyes lit up and he smiled.

I smiled too, leading him ahead.
