I laughed lightly as Tails and I soared around, Tails in his plane while I myself was on my newly fixed motorcycle. Why are we doing this, you ask? Well, we wanted to test out my motorcycle's new wing, so here we are.
My shoulders completely healed up, and no longer were they sore. Yay! Yet, Eggman's inactive state still worries me, though. I shake my head, snapping out of my thoughts.
We flew all around a gorge, slowly starting to simply go straight. It was nice and peaceful, but peaceful things must always come to an end.
"Dude, dudette, what up?" Knuckles asks, waving his hands. My eyes widen in surprise.
"Uh, how can you be flying?" Tails asks, astonishment coursing through his voice.
"Heh, I'm Sonic powered." Knuckles replies simply, gesturing down to Sonic, who was, of course, running. Apparently, Knuckles had a parachute on, so Sonic's speed caused him to...you know, float.
"Let's go for a big-boy ride!" I hear Sonic call up. Knuckles yells in agreement, Sonic runs faster. This causes Knuckles to hit sides of the gorge. I flinch.
"This is fun!" Knuckles yells, immediately hitting the side afterwards. "And only mildly damaging to my kidneys." I flinch once more.
"Use your head on this one!" Sonic requests, running under some low rocks. Knuckles head thwacks right into it. "You know, in retrospect, that may have been bad advice." Sonic adds after tumbling into a slight pit.
"I don't know what retrospect is, but it was bad advice here too." Knuckles mumbles. I hear a rumbling noise, and look up, er straight. I was still flying. I notice a rock giant that is slowly sitting up. I blink.
"Maybe it's a friendly gargantuan rock monster." Sonic says. The rock giant roars in their face, blowing them backwards. "Nope, he's playing into the stereotype." Sonic dodges one of the monsters hands.
"Here I come!" Tails calls, flying at the giant. The rock monster swats him out of the air. "And there I go..." Tails mumbles... My eyes widen with worry, looking to where Tails had started to crash. Sonic continues to run around the giant, irritating him.
"Keep him busy Sonic! I'll give you a hand with his feet with my head." Knuckles yells, head-butting into the leg of the giant. This makes him dizzy, as well as delusional. "Yes Grandma, I will have another gingersnap."
I roll my eyes slightly, following the rock monster on my motorcycle. Flying, of course. Sonic runs after him as well. Quickly, we got to the village, where the monster kicked up a boulder.
I calculated where the boulder was to land, which was, unfortunately, right atop Fastidious Beaver. Sonic notices this, quickly running and grabbing the beaver out of harms way. Unluckily for Fastidious, his cart of lemons was smashed, but all the juice landed in a barrel, at least.
"When life gives you lemons...make lemonade." Sonic says with a slight shrug. Fastidious Beaver slouches slightly. I land my motorcycle near them.
"But I already had them lemons..." He mumbles sadly. Knuckles then walks up to the three of us, rubbing his head.
"Sonic, (Y/N), Knuckles, what's going on?" Sticks questions as she and Amy run over to us.
"A giant rock monster is laying waste to the country side." Sonic replies simply. Any narrows her eyes slightly.
"You mean, a grantifier giganticis is laying waste to the country side." Amy corrects.
"Yeah, thanks for clearing that up." Sonic replies, sarcasm running through his voice. The rock monster growls, throwing a tree over near where everyone stood. The tree lands, spilling lemons all over Fastidious Beaver.
"As previously noted, I already had the lemons..." He says, frown on his face. Tails then comes crashing down, landing on the ground with a thud. I flinch at this, quickly walking over to him.
"Hu..." Tails breaths out. The wings, front, and wheel then fall off. My eyes widen. "Don't worry, it's still covered by the manufacturer's warranty." Tails tries to reassure. I sweat-drop.
"T-Tails...sweetie...you're the manufacturer..." I say. Tails balls up his fists.
"I knew I shouldn't have given myself a receipt!" Tails exclaims, bringing his fists down.
"Guys! Rock monster!" Amy exclaims, pointing at the rock monster, who was starting to lumber off.
"Oh, right. What do you know about that thing, Amy?" Sonic questions.
"Grantifier giganticis is a proud race of mountain dwellers from the time of the ancients. No one has seen one in hundreds of years." Amy explains.
"That's not true, I just saw one." Knuckles retorts. I roll my eyes, looking over to the rock monster. The monster had walked over and sat on a building, which had collapsed under the pressure. I flinch slightly at this.
"He's ignoring the 'break it you bought it' sign.  He really is a monster." Tails points out. I frown, looking over to the giant. He doesn't seem that...I don't know...dangerous, all in all. Yeah, call me crazy if you want to.  Whatever.
