My alarm clock raged at six thirty to wake me up. Luckily since the auditions are so early I don't have to go to school today. Which is a huge blessing to me because school is just such an overload of work. I'd rather school in a different alternative way that better fits me. With happy thoughts about not having to go to school in my head I crawl out of bed and start my morning routine.

I headed straight downstairs and ate some waffles that my mom had made. She called it a champion breakfast. She's so funny and excited for me it's hilarious. After eating I went upstairs to finish getting ready. I grabbed a red and black ALDC dance outfit and put it on. I did my hair, makeup, and other necessities. I decided to grab a bag and put a water bottle, my solo music, a brush, some hairspray, and another spare dance outfit just in case because you can never be too sure!

"Mom I'm ready to go." I call out.

"Okay, one second I'll meet you in the car." My mom replies.

When I got in the car my phone went off, it was a text from Liv.

"Hey babe I know you're going to do great, best of luck 😘" Liv texted.

"Don't worry I'll do my best 👍"

"Okay think of me while I'm bored in Biology 🙄"

"LOL I will 😂" I texted back.

My mom got in the car and we were headed to ALDC LA. I was crazy excited! I've driven by the building before but going inside of it is going to be a whole different level of amazing. Let alone to be going inside for an audition. I don't know how I'm going to be able to function at the audition. Better keep my fingers crossed but I'm sure I'll figure it out. I always do somehow.

When we arrived at the famous cream and red ALDC LA dance studio we walked through the front door. It looked as though we were the first to arrive. Upon pulling open the semi transparent glass doors open we could immediately see that there were cameras set up everywhere which was kind of awkward knowing I was being filmed every second.

My mom walked over to one of the camera men. "Excuse me, sorry to bother you. Do you know where Abby is?"

The camera man looked at my mom, "She is in her office she will be out in a little while."

My mom nodded "Okay, thank you."

We sat down on the iconic red bleachers that that mothers usually sit on during rehearsal. I had drifted off into a day dream imagining all the people who've sat on this bench. So many successful people have sat on this bench from Maddie Ziegler to Nia Sioux. I continued to day dream until my mom pulled me back down to reality.

"Katie are you excited?" My mom asked.

"Extremely, I can't wait for the auditions to start!" I replied smiling.

A little bit later a petite girl with orange hair and freckles entered with her mom. She looked about ten years old. I waved at her and she waved back. She was so cute!

I glanced at the time on my phone. It is now seven fifty, the other girl better get here soon if she wants a chance at the team. It definitely would be unprofessional and do nothing good to her wellbeing to show up late. Abby had made it very clear we needed to be here promptly by eight so I'd hate to find out what would happen if she was late.
