Lucas P.O.V.

I really don't like Josh being there, with her.

Why is he even here?

Does he think he can steal my girl?

Well, he can't.

She's mine, and I love her.

Riley P.O.V.

It's really awkward with Lucas right now.

We haven't really talked since the trip to the ski lodge.

We're fine, but it's still a little weird.

It doesn't help that he's mad.

Everyone's P.O.V.

L-"What do you think they're talking about out there?"

Riley looks really annoyed.

R-"I don't know Lucas."

Lucas notices the tone of her voice.

L-"Yooow! Sorry. What's your problem?"

R-"Nothing."

Lucas knows something is wrong.

L-"There's obviously something wrong. Is it Charlie?"

Riley just rolls her eyes at the idea.

R-"No."

L-"Then what is it?"

R-"You."

Lucas is shocked.

L-"Me? What did I do? You know besides cheating, but I thought we were good."

R-"We are."

L-"Then what is it?"

Riley hesitates to answer.

R-"Well it's just kinda....I don't know awkward between us. We haven't talked since the ski lodge."

Lucas puts his head down.

L-"I didn't think you wanted to talk to me."

R-"Of course I do! Your one of my favorite people to talk to. I always wanna be able to talk to you.I didn't think you wanted to talk to me."

Lucas lifts his head up with sad eyes.

L-"What? Why would you ever think that?"

R-"Well you obviously don't care about me--"

L-"Wait wait. I never said I don't care about you."

R-"Your with Maya now...."

L-"That doesn't mean I don't care about you. Riley, I have always cared about you. I don't think I'll stop."

R-"Do you still have feelings for me?"

Lucas hesitates to answer.

L-"I'll always have feelings for you."

Riley looks shocked and sad.

R-"Then why are you with her?"

L-"I love her. Sure I have feelings for you, but they're unresolved. I think I'll always have feelings for you. They don't just go away. You wish that's how it works, but it doesn't."

Riley is silent, taking in everything Lucas just said.

L-"What about you?"

Riley instantly answers.

R-"Yes."

Lucas is silent, not knowing what to say.

R-"But, I like Charlie or Farkle? I don't really know how I feel about them yet. But I'll figure it out. But yeah, I still have feelings for you. I always have and always will. But I only like the thought of you. You know, a fantasy. And you don't go out with a fantasy.--"

Lucas finishes Riley's sentence.

L-"You just think about them all the time. Yeah, I remember."

There is silence between the two.

L-"You ever think about it?"

R-"What?"

L-"Us. Together."

R-"Well yeah, but we never worked."

L-"Maybe it wasn't our time. Maybe it depends on the right time and place."

R-"Lucas..."

L-"No, no I know. Like I said before, I love Maya. That hasn't changed. I never thought I could love someone this much. But do you ever think?"

R-"All the time."

Lucas is silent, waiting for Riley to finish speaking.

R-"I always wonder what we could have been. From the start, you said you would never hurt me. But then you did, countless times. I knew. I knew you really liked her. And yet I still liked you."

L-"I'm sorry."

R-"Me too."
