Cyd slid down the door, tears welling up in her eyes.

This couldn't be happening. She was 17. She couldn't be pregnant.

She knew going to that party would be a bad idea.

Everything wreaked of trouble when she first entered that house.

The smell of alcohol smelled fresh in the air.

People grinding on each other on the dance floor, making out in corners, and upstairs who knows what was going on.

In the back there were people swimming in the pool.

Shelby, Cyd, Barry, and Naldo stuck together afraid to get sucked into whatever was going around them.

Shelby and Cyd made their way to the punch bowl.

"Shelbs, I don't think this was a good idea."

"What's the baddest thing that could happen?" Shelby replied.

Cyd laughed at the memory.
Obviously, her laugh wasn't for real humor.

She wipes her tears and stands up.

She thought of going back in time and fixing this but another thought just made her forget that option.

This is a lesson.

A lesson that there's a consequence to your every action.

She threw the pregnancy test away and walked out the bathroom.

Shelby was pacing around the room, mumbling things under her breath.

"S-Shelby." Cyd stutters as more tears well up in her eyes.

Shelby sighs.

"You need to go tell Naldo."

"What if he dumps me?"

"He wouldn't."

"Naldo, we need to talk."

"Why? What's wrong? Have you been crying?" Naldo asks as he wraps his arm around Cyd's waist.

Cyd leans her head against his arm.

"Please promise me you won't break up with me." Cyd says.

"Promise."

"Remember last week, at Zack's party?" Cyd asked as she fiddled with her fingers.

"Yeah, why?"

"I'm...pregnant." Cyd admits.

Naldo smiles.

"Oh great, I thought you were breaking up with me." Naldo says as he sighs in relief.

"Naldo, I'm freaking pregnant! How are you okay with this?" Cyd yells/asks.

"Cuz, I know we'll be able to go through this together."
