Forgive me

Steve's pov
Pain. It's all I feel right now. Not only physically but emotionally, mentally. Just the fact that my childhood best friend who saved my ass when we were younger more times than I can count not only attacked me and nat once but also who destroyed shield is back, again. A slave to hydra. Which puts us back to square one me vs him. Last time We fought I gave him mercy I'm hoping he'll do the same for me just one more time.
We run at each both going for an attack, I manage to knock him in the face whilst dogging his punch and he gets knocked back slightly fazed and I immediately feel guilty for hurting him because in the end he doesn't deserve any of this, everything that's happened to him I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy let alone my best friend. He gains his posture and stance and gets ready to attack again. This isn't right I'm not gonna hurt him, I can't.
"Bucky wait!" He stops for a second at the name then go's in to attack me again I go into defense mode and focus on blocking his punches all I have to do is get him to remember so he can snap out of this and fast! I think to myself.
"You know me, you've known me you whole life" he punches and punched again I mange to just narrowly miss the punches
"We're best friends and we always have been" I keep on trying and trying but the continuous sound of the clock threatens me as I see
2 minutes remaining
"Bucky please we need to get out of here now!" I again try and doge his punches but he's just too quick and they rain down on me
"God dammit Bucky stop do you want us both to die?!"
"My names not Bucky! It's the winter soldier" I duck his punch and counter with 2 in the gut and 1 to the face pushing him back
30 seconds remaining
I go to help him but he punches me back
"We need to get out of here!" I shout and he looks at me with pure anger in his eyes
"A soldier never leaves his duty!" He rugby tackles me to the ground and try's to punch me in the face I grab his fist and look him in the eyes
"I am so sorry Bucky please forgive me" I punch his so hard in the face he falls limp unconscious I push him off me and glance at the clock one last time
15 seconds remaining
"You were my best friend and you always will be but that man died a long time ago forgive buck"
With only 10 seconds left and a lot of distance to cover I realize with Buckys weight along with pain I won't be able to make it and I can't leave Natasha on her own in the world I'd never forgive myself.
I run. Leaving Bucky. Leaving my best friend behind. The pain hits me straight away and even though this is my only option I still feel guilty about it, but that man I left behind, he wasn't Bucky. I continue running and just as I get to the door the explosion hits me knocking me off my feet I go flying onto the ground and pain erupts my body even more physically and emotionally
"Bucky" I whisper as everything turns black.

A/N omg Steve left Bucky 😱 but before you say this isn't like the titanic this isn't a jack could of fit on and they both could of lived situation Steve really didn't have a choice in the matter he had to leave Bucky otherwise they both would have died BUT maybe he's NOT DEAD I guess you'll have to find out in my next book. Yes there's going to be a second one I haven't figured the name or pic but I do know the basic plot and what I'm going to do so I'll post updates on book 2 here in another chapter :) thank you so much for every one who voted commented and followed it really does mean a lot to me and I know I can be annoying with not updating but I promise as I'll work on that but just thank you for reading I hope to see all of you guys again for book 2 :) because I'm with you all till the end of the line 😉 until next time
