"He wants to see me?"

You asked,

He shouldn't even know I'm here,

I thought, concerned as I looked at Takuma,

"Yes, and he seemed quite adamant about it too."

Hanabusa and I shared an uneasy look as Takuma motioned you through the door,

"He's down here."

The green eyed vampire said as he led me down the stairs to where his grandfather was waiting,

"Here she is, grandfather."

Takuma said uneasily as I walked down the stairs and approached the aristocrat,

"Ah, so Kaname wasn't lying after all."

He said as he looked me. I could feel the disdain for me in his gaze,

"I'm surprised he would allow such filth to enter the moon dorm. After all you're nothing more than a coward and a traitor who let her parents die."

His words cut into my heart as I glared at him,

"I didn't let them die. There was no way I could save them."

I argued back, remaining icily polite. He looked down on me with so much hatred I thought it might crush me. His next words dripped with acid as he glowered at me,

"Don't lie to me I know you let them die. You always were a coward Y/N but I never thought you were a traitor. Your just a murderer who deserves to die."

He spat in disdain,

"My growing disgust for you is uncanny."

He stepped towards me menacingly, like he was stalking his prey. I braced myself for a punch in the face, but a few seconds passed and nothing happened. I looked up and saw Takuma and Hanabusa standing in front of me while Kaname shoved him against the wall, his hands wrapped around Ichijo's throat,

"Listen here Ichijo, if you ever say anything like that to Y/N again, I will not hesitate to end your life. She has been through more than you could possibly imagine. She did not kill her parents and you are a fool for thinking so. If you know what's good for you, you will apologize to her right now."

He said in a menacingly stoic tone. Ichijo gulped and got down on one knee,

"I'm very sorry, Y/N, please forgive me. I was out of line."

I looked at him and shrugged, not wanting to bother with his hollow apology,

"Sure."

I said as he stood up,

"Now I think I will take my leave. Goodbye Lord Kaname, everyone else."

He bowed slightly and walked out. Kaname turned to me with worried eyes,

"Are you alright, Y/N? I can imagine how painful the memories must be."

I looked down slightly and shrugged,

"I'm fine it's not a big deal. Everyone tells me that so now I'm just used to it."

Everyone seemed shocked at this,

"But, why? It doesn't sound like this was on you."

A maroon haired boy with pale blue eyes asked me. Takuma nodded,

"Senri's right. You did nothing wrong. It sounds like your parents were protecting you. It's not your fault that they died."

He said softly, taking my hands in his. I looked up at him and gave him a warm smile,

"I know. Thank you for saying that Takuma. It means a lot to me."

I smiled and started to walk up the stairs,

"Well I'm gonna call it a night. Goodnight everyone."

I said politely, ascending the stairs and walking down the hall to my room before tey could stop me. Once I entered I laid down on my bed an took the photograph out of the shirt it was hidden in. I smiled sadly at the image of my parents. It was taken a few days before the attack on our home. I felt my eyes begin to water as I remembered how happy I was the day the photograph was taken. I rested my head against my pillow and held the photograph close to my heart as I felt the tears begin to flow.
