When I woke and saw Colleen lying next to me, the smile on my face returned. "Morning, beautiful," I whispered in her ear and kissed her forehead. Her eyes then fluttered open and she smiled at me.

But then she started coughing violently. "Colleen, are you alright?" I ask. She starts coughing up blood and I'm worried. "Colleen! Colleen!" Her eyes close slowly until their shut completely and I can feel my heart drop.

"Help! Help! Somebody please help!" I cry out. I can't lose her, I just got her. "Help! My girlfriend is dying!" I scream. I put my ear near her mouth to listen if she was breathing.

Nothing.

Finally someone hears my calls and runs to our car. "Are you okay, sir?" It was a kind lady. "No, my girlfriend isn't breathing and she was coughing up blood and I don't know what's wrong," I was crying by now. "I'll call the ambulance, they won't be long the hospital is around the corner," She scrambles her purse for her phone and I hold Colleen's cold hand in mine. "I refuse to let you go, when they find out what's wrong they'll fix it. I promise." I say through my sobs.

Within minutes a team of medics picked up Colleen and took her away. I ran to get into the ambulance too but they stopped me. "Sorry sir but her condition is critical, we'll need you to stay here." I just nodded sadly  but the lady who helped me said, "Don't worry, son. We'll follow the ambulance with your car. They can't stop us from doing that."

It was 11am already and I still heard nothing from the doctors. All they told me was 'The next 24 hours is critical to her health.' Eventually, a doctor came out and said, "Joshua Evans, we'd like to speak to you please." I shot up and walked into his office.

"Have you found out what's wrong with her yet?" I immediately asked. "Yes, it's because the patient hasn't been taking her medication for the last month or so."

Medication?

"Sorry doctor but medication for what?" I asked, almost jumping out of my skin by now.

"Didn't you know, Joshua? Colleen has a brain tumour."

HAHAHAHA LOVE MYSELF. You probably didn't notice until now but in every 1 or 2 chapters I planted one of brain tumour symptoms. Remember the first day Colleen was moody? Moodswings. When she fainted? Another symptom. Feeling numb? Another one. If you want, read the whole book again and spot the symptoms. Good luck for the next chapter!
