"I'm going to catch you!" I shout as I run after my daughter. "No, Daddy!" She giggles loudly. I finally manage to grab her waist and I hoist up onto my shoulders. "It's bed time Lilly," I say and carry her to her bed room. "No, I not tired. I sleep later," She says with a yawn and a sleepy smile. "I'm pretty sure you are tired, goofball. You have to be up early for school tomorrow," I say while dressing her into her cat onesie. "Ugh, fine daddy. But you have to read me a story!" She says and runs to her bookshelf to fetch her favourite book, 'Selp Helf by Miranda Sings.'

I start reading the book, trying to do my best Miranda impression. Lilly giggles a lot but after a few chapters she falls asleep. I kiss her forehead, tuck her in and switch off the lights. "Goodnight, sweetheart."

I look around our house for Colleen and then I eventually find her in our room, rocking Noah and singing him a sweet lullaby.

"Smile, smile. All you got to do is smile and love, love, love, love. Fill the world with love, love, love."

She is so adorable, how did I end up so lucky? When he's finally asleep, she sets him in his cot and kisses his forehead too. "Goodnight, my love," She whispers sweetly. When she turns around and finds me at the door she jumps slightly.

"How long have you been standing there for?" She asks with a grin and comes closer towards me. "How did I end up with the best wife and mother on this earth?" I grab her waist and give her a short but meaningful kiss on the lips. "The kids are all in bed..." I raise my eyebrows suggestively. Colleen laughs, "Not tonight, baby. Maybe next time." She walks past me and through the door.

I grab her waist from behind and throw her over my shoulder. "Joshua David Evans! What do you think you are doing? Put me down!" Colleen demands but still laughing. "Okay but only if you give me a kiss." She sighs, "Fine, but put me down first." I carry her to our room and gently throw her on the bed. "I'm waiting for my payment, Mrs Evans." She rolls her eyes but does pay me in the end with a kiss. "Make-out session?" I ask with a hopeful look. I just loved my wife a lot, don't judge. She shakes her head with a laugh, "Nice try." She gets off the bed but I grab her waist and pull her back. "I'll wash the dishes for the next week."

"Deal."
