you are the reason behind these words

i have tried so many times to find the words that encapsulate the way that i feel about you,
and i have finally come to a conclusion.
you are worth so much than cliches and metaphors and pretty words,
those are things that everyone uses,
things we are taught about for years in english classes,
and the time i have spent with you makes those years feel like seconds
you have taught me more about the english language than anyone by just looking my way,
with you the words just spill effortlessly,
i don't need a teacher to teach me how to describe your eyes like night skies or how to condense your personality into similes and rhymes,
i just need you.
and i know my words aren't and will never be as beautiful as you are,
but i will try to come close.
