I was standing balanced on the windowsill, looking down at Rai and a hand gestured out for him to take it.

Mei: come outside with me today, Rai. You gotta leave the mansion at some point.

Raizel: ....I decline.

Mei: ...hmph. Raizel, it's best if you give me what I want if you don't want this to end badly.

Raizel: I decline.

Oh, so he wants to be stubborn?

It's always been this one difficult to get him to come outside besides when he's summoned by the Lord or if it's a special occasion.
I want him to come outside more regularly.

Mei: ...well...that sucks then...

In an instant, I took hold of both Raizel's wrist, pulling him upward and out the window forcefully.
I could tell by his shocked expression that he didn't expect this action to happen.

Raizel: ....!?

Mei: ...cause we're going out anyway even if I have to force you!

Me and Rai strolled down a path in comfortable silence. I was grinning ear to ear at my success to finally get him out the mansion.

Raizel: how is your hand?

Rai spoke up, breaking the silence. Worried for my wrist that I broke when I failed to land when I pulled him out the window.

But it was healing quickly, nothing too bad but a bruise.

Mei: it's fine. Just a bruise, haha.

Rai let out a silently disappointed sigh.

Mei: Rai, it's was either I forced you out the window or I would trick you out.

Raizel: tricking me would have been safer.

Mei: but forcing you out is much quicker.

Raizel: .....

Mei: stop being so stubborn Rai. I want you to enjoy life, not watch it. Life is pretty amazing, ya know.

Raizel: ....I know.

I glanced up at him and he was smiling down at me.

Mei: haha. Rai you have that look on your face again.

He blushed then averted his eyes, and I let out a small giggle at his embarrassed expression.

Mei: Rai?

Raizel: ....?

Mei: wanna visit the human world with me one day?

Rai looked back at me with a sceptical look.

Mei: it doesn't have to be tomorrow or a week from today or even the next few years. Just one day...visit the human world with me.

I've always had talks and made plans with the Lord as to how and get Rai to stay out of his mansion more. Getting him to come to the human world was an excellent conclusion.

For days he would only stare out the window. I always manage to come up with some excuse to trick him out, but he would still end up back in the same place.

Maybe if he experience more of the world outside of Lukedonia, he'd want to stay. And maybe...just maybe we can build a new life in the normal world.

Raizel: ....why?

Mei: ....uh...well...most of the time you never seem to do anything besides stare out that window. You want to enjoy life but you don't want to unless it's behind that window....besides, it's no fun always traveling by myself. Its a bit lonely to experience new things but not have someone to enjoy these experiences with me...plus I don't like leaving you by yourself.

I took his hand in mine.

Mei: please, you'll like it so much. I promise....at least just once. Come to the human world with me.

Rai stared at me questioningly for a long while, but eventually, he have me a simple nod of his head. This made me really happy.

Mei: really?

Raizel: ....I can't deny a cute face.

Rai pinched my cheek then kisses my forehead.

Raizel: and if it will keep you from pulling me out windows and tricking me outside for pointless reasons, I'll go.

Crap, so he did notice.

Mei: hey, most of them weren't pointless reason, hahaha.

Present day

I sat in comfortable silence on my bed. Rai had his head in my lap, eyes closed and in a relaxed state.

This is the first in a while that I've seen him this relaxed.

I rubbed my hands gently through the strands of his hair.

I always did like how soft his hair felt.

But then I thought of something that sent me into a daze.

Raizel: ...what's wrong?

Rai looked at me with a bit of concern. Noticing I was dazed after I stopped rubbing the top of his head.

Mei: hm? Nothing....I was just remembering something.

That one day did come when we visited the human world, but it wasnt a very expected arrival.

One day we went to sleep and woke up here in the human world 820 years later.

But our visit didn't last a day...looks like we'll be here from now on. In a way, I did get what I wanted.

To experience and build a normal life with Rai, even for a bit. I am happy....

Mei: so we stayed longer than expected, huh?

Raizel: ....?

Mei: so Rai....do you like the human world?

Raizel: ....I always expected life to be wonderful no matter where it was. Even though some of this happened unexpectedly...I'm very happy I came and had these experiences with you...you were right.

...as long as Rai is happy...I am happy.
