I woke up early in the morning with my arms wrapped around my wife. I couldn't help but bring her closer to my chest. She snuggled her head against my chest.
Last night was just a dream it seemed. I couldn't believe she was truly in my arms. My head has played tricks like this before, but...this was real and I loved it.
I slowly sniffed her soft white hair. I know it seems creepy but I wanted to catch every single detail before I left again.
I smiled when I heard the birds starting to sing from the distant trees. It brought sadness as they continued as I started thinking. I have to leave her. I just was reunited with her, but sadly I must continue being Nathan if I have any chance of rescuing her and our people from what's to come of Vilkas being King.
I kissed her forehead and unwrapped my arms from under her shoulders and unwrapped her arms and legs from my waist and stomach. I started scooting away and sat up on the edge of the bed. I looked back at her one more time and smirked to myself.
"You're my girl and no one else's," I stood up and heard as she sat up. I'm guessing it was either the sudden cold feeling once my body heat became absent or the fact the bed lifted from my weight leaving the soft mattress.
"You're leaving me again huh?" Her voice was depressing as my heart sank to my gut.
I turned around and was caught off guard when she was inches away from my face. I didn't even hear her get out of bed.
"You mustn't scare me like that darling," I smirked nervously.
Her face wasn't a sad state, but a furious glare. She resented the fact of me leaving her once again. It kinda felt like I was caught running from a one night stand, with the one I had it with.
"I'm not letting you leave until you tell me why," she stood with her weight shifted onto her side and her arms crossed.
"I can't just walk out of here like 'Hey guess what everyone! I'm Hex and I didn't actually die, oh and did I mention I'm and all powerful dragon that your king despises. Oh and as a side note, I made love with her last night!" She blushed when I said that last sentence.
"I know...I just wish you wouldn't have to leave so early," her glare shifted to that of sadness. I wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed her soft lips once again.
"But the soldiers get up soon and I must be prepared for my shift," I smiled down at my blue eyes angel.
"But you're not a solider here," she spoke with confusion as she tried to catch onto what I was saying.
I let go of her and pressed my forehead against her's before taking a few steps back.
She grabbed onto my hands before I could walk away. I couldn't help but sigh. I didn't wanna leave her either, but I have to.
I pulled my hands out of her grip and kissed her one more time and pulled her into a hug.
"But I must be Nathan if my plan is to work," I smiled again as she raised a questioning eyebrow at me.
"Plan?" She asked.
I broke the hug and grabbed my clothes. I started getting dressed as she stood there curious. I chucked softly as I finished and began walking to the door and placed my hand on the golden doorknob.
"I am now your 'King'. Once I kissed you after we were reunited our marriage was sealed," I pointed at the golden band she kept on her ring finger and the one I kept on my middle finger,"I have two kingdoms to rebuild and a princess to protect. The only way I can do that is to learn more about my enemy...since I've learned more about myself."
"Oh...," her voice was still melancholy as she lumbered off, back to bed.
"Oh and this won't be the last time you see Hex," I winked at her and smiled," I still have a few more things to teach you about yourself, but for now I'd ask your dad for more training on your heavenly powers."
She smiled and pulled the blankets over her, preparing to fall asleep once again...if she can manage to.
"Alright. Promise me I'll see you again and I'll promise to train," her voice became more giddy as she awaited my response.
I bowed and looked up at her.
"I promise my dear. As sure as I'm your Pet and you're my Little Play Thing," I stood and began to turn the doorknob. She giggled under her breath and became to relax.
"I love you Hex," she spoke it soft enough for my ears to catch wind.
"I love you too Susan," I walked out of her room and softly closed the door behind me, to be greeted by a focused Savion.
"Did you enjoy your time with her?" He asked through partially parted lips.
I stood beside him and nodded. He motioned me to follow him as we let two other soldiers I've met in the truck take our shifts.
I plan on saving this kingdom, I am determined to protect my Queen, I will rebuild my kingdom, and the Ender Dragon must have It's revenge.
