I blinked...
Trying hard to be sure,
if what I'm seeing is for real..
You're winking at me,
which turned my cheeks super pink.. they're almost red!
I twirled like soft ice cream on a sundae,
blushing with delight,
melting in sweet surprise!
...Only to see someone else grinning back at you..
Your girl with her lovely smile,
the one you have intended that wink to!
It feels like I have been punched right in the stomach..!
I turned to have a look at you once again,
You're smiling back at her,
eyes twinkling as your gaze touches her face...
My heart sank,
False Hope
once again!
