The goat got hold of the tote

The child screaming at the moat

The poet sits holding his head

Wondering how to proceed about

The goat's horns frighten him alot

goat bores into the tote

Gobbles all pages down his throat

No more books in the tote

The soldier still in the boat on the moat

Wondering what is afloat.

No more running around the moat

The poet still in shock

He picks up a rock

Throws at the goat with the tote

The goat does a double whallop

See,how fast he gallops

The child does the same

adds more stones to the dollop

All at once see a book lie on the moat

The soldier on the boat

Decides he will have no more

Shoots off his gun into the sun

The poet,goat,child with the tote are now on the run

By the way, the book is with the soldier with the gun.

He reads it on the boat in the moat.

wearing a shiny coat, it keeps his spirits afloat.
