Alex dumped me off at a park bench and told me to not move period. I did what I was told and stayed put. I was in tears the more I worried and over an hour went by, people started looking at me funny but thankfully there was only a couple people that came and went. When the black Buick pulled up on the side of the curb my heart relaxed finally and Harry stepped out of the passenger side of the car and ran up to him as he started down the hill. He looked okay from here. "Harry." I say and hug his torso desperately. "I was so worried. I'm so sorry." I babble into his shirt and he pulls my head up. When I made eye contact with him I saw his lip was busted. As long as that was all. No broken bones no stab wounds, I can settle.
"Just relax, everything is fine. You need to calm down." he says gently and I shake my head. "You could've gotten hurt. Did he get away? Where is he?" I ask and he swallows, glancing away. "He ran after I fell down the stairs, Alex tried to catch him but couldn't." he says and I touch his puffy lip with my thumb. "Fell down the stairs?" I ask and the corner of his mouth twitches lightly and he shrugs. "Okay I had a not so graceful moment." he half jokes and I relax enough to laugh and pull him down to hug him again. My hands still shook a little.
"I don't know what I'd do if you got hurt like last time, Harry." I shake my head and he rubs my arm. "I'm fine. I promise." he says and I fist his shirt. I knew I was probably over reacting to this whole situation but then again, maybe I'm not.
"C'mon let's get you home." he says and scoops my legs out from underneath me.
Alex seemed unharmed. I was not pleased when Harry put me in the back seat to only join the front seat with Alex but thankfully it was only a short drive home. I didn't want to go back in that house. I honestly didn't. It made me want to move to England even more.
"Is she alright?" Alex asked him quietly. "She's a little shaken up." Harry answered back. "I never thought he would ever stoop that low." he says and I hug my knees. I didn't want to hear this conversation. I tried to tune it out the best I could. "Who would think he would actually come all the way over here just to annoy me." Harry mutters. "Well, I understand now why you want to move, but you know Rick will never understand." he says and Harry shrugs. "Oh well. He shouldn't have been such a dick. This other company offers a lot more. They want to put me immediately on tour again after I get my next album done. Some of it is already done, actually. It could be out within 3 months." he says and Alex furrows his eyes. "How so soon? How did you ever manage to record there when you are here?" he asks and Harry laughs under his breath. "I recorded some yesterday as a demo, and I can do a lot of the touch ups myself. Making the process a lot quicker." he says. I grew a little curious. He doesn't speak much about his music to me unless he's telling me he has to go somewhere.
"How?" Alex asks. "I was a music editor remember?" he chuckles and Alex frowns further. "You should quit here and come over with me and remain my producer." Harry says and Alex half laughs. "I couldn't with my family, just found out my wife is pregnant. I don't know if I'm looking forward to a kid or not. She's ecstatic about it." he says with a sigh.
We pulled in the driveway and Harry opened the door for me and helped me out even though I didn't need it. I really didn't want to go in that house. "Congrats." Harry says kind of oddly and Alex shrugs. "Thanks. Never thought it would be possible." he says and stops on the porch. "So, is it safe to leave? Do you need me to stay?" he asks and Harry places his hand flat on my lower back. "No, I think we're safe for now. Thank you Alex." he says with a polite smile and Alex smiles back before returning to his car.
I sit on the couch and hugged my knees. A few things were broken, glass. I couldn't figure out what it was but Harry crouched down to pick it up and throw it away. The stack of boxes were knocked over, he also pushed them back to the side with his foot before pulling the gun out of his waist line and sets it on the table. The sight of him with a gun was strange. Very strange.
