Katniss and I walk through the door of our home, even though I loved being in Fiji with Katniss, it's good to be back. Now since we've been on our trip Katniss's father is wanting to meet me but seeing as I've got my bakery that has been closed for two weeks and is getting the upgrade we don't have the time to dive 12 hours to Chicago and so Katniss has said that we'll come down for Christmas Eve and so I'll finally be meeting her family after two years of dating. Now... About that one night in Fiji... I can say that our last nights were exactly like that one night... Now that we're home Katniss will be going on the pill after Katniss told me what happened to her and how she ran away, I told her about what happened with Delly and me running is why I'm not close to my family and we've both decided to put that all behind us keeping it in our past and focus on our now.

I sit on the couch making out with Katniss which is literally the number one thing I love doing. I pull down her bra straps and we are able to undo her bra and we get back to kissing

"I could do this all day with you" I mumble kissing her neck as she tugs my hair

"Me too" she sighs as I slip my hand up her black singlet and massaging her left breast eventually were interrupted by the timer going off and I re-attend to our dinner. I'm thinking of proposing to her soon well when we met her father I'm going to get his blessing on for me to propose. Which I hope he accepts.

"So you're thinking of marrying her?" My thirty year old employee John asks as we pile wood at the back of the bakery

"Yeah. Well I mean I need to speak with her father first and all" I reply

"Don't you think you should tell your family?" He says and I stop what I'm doing

"I haven't talked to them for about five years or so. I highly doubt they want to have anything to do with me" I reply

"Peeta. I know you're my boss and all and you have the power to fire me but you're an idiot if you think that" he states

"How are you so sure that they don't all hate me?" I ask and he shrugs

"I don't but it's worth a try" he says and I sigh

"Let's take a break for now" I say and he nods and I walk to my office and sit down, opening my contacts in my phone and press my parents house number and on the third ring someone picks up

"Hello? Who's this?" I hear my moms voice

"Hey mom. It's me. Peeta"

"Oh my... What's it been? Five years?"

"Sorta. Listen Ma. You know I've got a new girl in my life and I'm sure that I'm gonna marry her"

"Oh Peeta. That's wonderful! What's her name?"

"Katniss Everdeen"

"Beautiful name. You should come down here! I'd love to meet her" I chuckle

"I'll try and plan something. I promise you'll get to meet her mom"

"You don't know how much you've lightened me by calling. Now here's your father he's wanting to talk with you"

After my dad finishes talking to me I say goodbye to my parents and hang up feeling a whole lot of weight lifted off my shoulders. Finally. That's done and I know that my family don't hate me, just miss me... A lot.
