Four Months Later- Peeta POV
As usual I'm woken up by the cry of one of our baby's, I look next to me and see Katniss start to wake up but I tell her to go to sleep, I get up and walk into the twins room where the crying is coming from. I walk over to my daughter's crib where she lays crying
"It's okay baby girl. Daddy's here" I coo, I take her downstairs, heat up the breastmilk in a bottle and feed it to her, being a parent is quite a challenge... the first few weeks of bringing them home Katniss and I were extremely exhausted, it took a while to get use to but I don't regret it at all, they both have blonde hair and grey eyes but has most of Katniss's facial features. I sit in the rocking chair by the cribs and rock on it while Willow drinks the milk
"You don't know how happy I am that you and your brother are here. My past relationship left me heartbroken and made me stop believing in love but then when I met your mom at the bar I felt love again and when you two were born I fell in love all over again" I say as she looks at me with her grey eyes
"I promise I'll do all I can to make sure you never get hurt. I promise that you and your brother will have the perfect childhood" I smile and when I look up Katniss is standing in the doorway smiling
"You heard all that didn't you?" I ask as she walks in
"All of it. Don't be embarrassed, I think it was so adorable" she smiles
"Well it's true. Everything I said" I reply looking down at Willow who has finished her bottle but of course wants her mommy and so I give her to Katniss who rocks her while patting her back
"I know. I know it was true, they have the best daddy any kids could have" she smiles then Willow let's out a cute little burp and then Katniss starts to rock her
"Are your parents still having that Christmas dinner?" I ask
"Yeah. They invited your family too, so their house is going to be very full" she replies
"It's starting to frost outside so we'll have to wrap the kids up very warm when we go" I admit and she nods laying Willow back down, pulling the blanket up to her chest, I stand up and wrap my arms from behind her, my head on her shoulder
"Their both so perfect. They're everything I ever dreamed of" she whispers
"It's my perfect idea of a family. Exactly what I wanted" I reply sighing as our twins sleep soundly, our precious babies who I'll love forever and ever.

"Katniss! Peeta! You both made it!" My mother in law cheerfully greets immediately letting us in
"Let me see my beautiful grand babies" she says, she looks at a sleeping Chase who Katniss is holding then Willow
"She's missed her granny" I smile handing Willow over to Sarah after taking my coat off, Willow smiles at seeing her grandma and we walk into the living room where everyone is
"And they have decided to show up at last!" Rye declares standing next to Liam
"Sorry we're late. Got woken up early this morning" I chuckle pulling Katniss closer to my side as Chase sleeps soundly in her arms
"I swear that kid is always sleeping when he's around other people" Mary says walking up to us
"No, he's just a very sleepy baby" I chuckle carefully giving him to her
"Like father like son" Mary smirks
"If you weren't holding my son right now I would've pushed you" I chuckle jokingly which earns a pinch on the arm by Katniss
"Ow! What was that for?" I frown
"Because, you were mean to your little sister, that's why" she replies, Mary sticks her tongue out and walks off with Chase, okay maybe I deserved that... but Katniss just turns me on when she's like that
"So guys who's the parenting life treating you?" Liam smirks as Katniss and I sit in two spare seats
"It's extremely tiring. They're not that bad when it comes to waking up during the night but every now and again they'll wake up wanting a feed or just wanting a cuddle" Katniss replies
"Just wait till they're older, those two are bound to fight and make a mess" Rye says siping his beer, I just roll my eyes at my older brother and he just smirks.

"You two are the cutest couple" Prim smiles, I look down at Katniss who has her head on my shoulder as she sleeps
"Thank you... she's my dream wife. She's everything I've ever wanted in life" I admit making Prim chuckle, everyone has left and it's just Katniss and I left, Sarah and Sam are cleaning up while the twins sleep in their car seats that we brought in
"You make her really happy. That day when she came home from the bar she cried because she thought she'd never see you again and that she lost you but I reassured her that if it was meant to be then you both would find each other again. You both did and you both fell in love with one another" she replies and I smile at her
"You're really wise for someone your age, you know" I tell her which she smirks at
"Of course I do. I'm more wise than you" she teases
"Okay... I never said you were awesome" I chuckle but she just rolls her eyes
"You are so retarded. Like my older brother" Prim tries to fight back while smiling which now makes me smirk
"Am I getting on your nerves Primmy?" I tease
"Yes. Now stop it" she laughs
"Never Primmy. I shall be like your second older brother" I reply
"What are you two talking about?" Katniss asks finally waking up
"Not much, your husband just being a retard. Thinking he's awesome and getting on my nerves" Prim complains making Katniss chuckle into my chest
"You two teasing each other amuse me..." she admits
"Katniss Mellark.... that's so rude" I reply and she laughs
"Your a bum" she says
"Wow. That hurt" I joke making her laugh a little and hit my chest playfully
"Don't be a jerk or else I'll hurt you" she says as she sits up
"We should leave cause I'm feeling so attacked right now" I joke and Katniss rolls her eyes
"Whatever" she chuckles, wow... they're both so rude to me.
