I woke up the next morning, feeling icky and uncomfortable. And I had cramps.

Oh boy... not this.

I walked to my bathroom and turned on the shower instantly because it was "that time of month."

I hopped in the shower and stayed in there for about twenty minutes, making sure everything was clean.

I got out and wrapped a towel around me. I hurried and found my undergarments, boy shorts, sweats, and a T-shirt.

I got out a pad, then I put all my clothes on.

I washed my hands then went downstairs.

I just sat on the sofa and watched TV. I couldn't cook– there was still no food.

After a couple of minutes, Taj came downstairs.

"Why you up so early?"

I just shrugged.

"You ain't cook?" He asked, opening a cabinet.

"One, I'm not entitled to cook for y'all. Two, there is no food. You can mix them seasonings up in there and cook them." I said.

"You funny. Well, guess imma starve," he said, closing the cabinet.

"That's what I'm doing."

Then, Trent came downstairs.

"Trent, get ya girl. She got a attitude," Taj said.

"She not my girl," he said, going in the fridge. Do these niggas think food is supposed to just magically appear?

"And I don't got a attitude," I added.

"Right," Taj said, plopping down on the sofa.

"Ain't nobody cook?" Trent asked.

"No food. Maybe y'all shoulda thought of that before y'all decided to bring hella seasonings," I said, now in my phone.

"Okay. What did you bring?" Trent challenged, crossing his arms.

"Pots and pans for y'all to cook y'all seasonings," I said.

"You real funny today, must be on your period," he said, walking into the living room.

"And?"

"Seeing couples argue makes me happy I'm single," Taj said.

"We not a couple," I said.

"Yet," he said.

"No. Not a couple."

"Like I said, yet."

"Y'all needa chill out," Trent said, sitting in the space between me and Taj.

"See? He don't even won't me sitting by his girl!" Taj said.

"Ctfu," I said.

"Ight, y'all gone see. Bet me $23," Taj said.

"Why $23?"

"Cause I'm tryna get these basketball shorts for my cousin," he said.

"Wow. Okay."

Then Sauce, Avery, and O.K. came downstairs.

"Aw, look at the happy family. Father, mother, and son!" Sauce said, cracking up.

"Y'all whack af. I'm finna go," I said, getting off the sofa.

"Where you going?" Taj asked.

"The store. Probably to get some groceries," I said.

"I wanna come!" He said, jumping across the sofa.
