Sherlock's P.O.V

I woke up to a smiling face beside me, "Morning, love. Happy Birthday."

"Thanks Loki."

He started to climb out of bed but I tugged his shirt, trying to pull him back, "Do you have to leave?"

"Yes, I have to plan my surprise for you."

"Oh come on! Stay!"

"Sorry love."  And he left the room.

I stared up at the ceiling, thinking about everything that has happened to me over my 26 years of life. Here's to another great year.

I got up and got dressed, my usual outfit with my black trench coat and blue scarf, and ran downstairs, curious of my birthday suprise.

But when I got down there, he was no where to be found. Then someone covered my eyes with a bandana. I instantly knew it was him.

"What are you gonna do?" I joked.

"This," and he kissed me, passionately.

"Alright, walk slow, I'm going to lead you somewhere," he told me.

We walked slowly as he led me to a table. I could already smell my favorite breakfast (when I decided to actually eat food), pancakes with eggs, bacon, and chocolate strawberries. He took off the bandana, revealing what I had smelled.

"Ta da! And later tonight I have an even better surprise."

I smiled as he pulled out a chair for me, "Thank you, Loki."

"For what? Being a gentleman? That needs no thanks, I treat the ones I love like royalty, as they deserve. And I love doing it."

I blushed. He really was perfect.

Later On

Loki told me to dress nice so I had, I dressed in a dark blue dress with leather black leggings and black pumps. It wasn't my usual wear but I thought I looked nice.

He had put the bandana over my eyes so.I decided to take a nap while we drove to the secret location. Then I heard the car come to a stop but I didn't stir. A door shut then my door opened. Loki slipped his hands underneath me and lifted me up. He carried me a long way before setting me down. I felt a wooden chair and assumed I was at a diner or something that Loki had rented out. But when Loki took off the bandana, I was suprised.

It was the beach, where we had our "firat date". He had set up a candlelit dinner for us on the beach. How had I not noticed the salty taste of the air or the sound of lightly crashing waves?

Loki smiled across from me, "Like it?"

"Oh, I love it."

He smiled and we chatted until the sun had setted. It was dark but the bright moon lit the beach in an gorgeous, shimmering, illuminous light. We kept chatting until Loki seemed to tense.

"Are you okay?" I asked him.

He smiled, "Yeah, just fine." He took my hands in his and gave me a loving look, "Even after all that's happened, with you losing your memory and all, we still were able to connect with each other. I had always been hopelessly in love with you but you, with you I had to get you to fall for me all over again and I think I succeeded."

I blushed.

"Happy Birthday Lilli!" He leaned over and gave me a quick kiss.

"Thanks Loki! I-I, uh, I love you."

"And I love you."

It was the first time I had ever told anyone that, ever.

"Well its starting to get late, we should probably..."

Loki interrupted me by taking my hand and getting on one knee.

"Loki...?"

"Lillian Sherlock Holmes, will you marry me?"
