Tough

When was the last time someone cared?

Was it when we won the contest

Or when everyone stared?

When is the next time someone will care?

Is it when we learn the rules

Or when they become aware?

Aware of the little place in the corner of the world,

Aware of this eternal war?

Aware that it was their fault,

Aware of the lies they were told?

Will the world ever seem like home?

Will we ever learn our lyrics so that we can sing along?

It's been a while, and we still don't belong.

Our songs are hurting our enemies' ears,

But they're the only music we can hear.

Star sickness ruined our best friends,

And we can't ask enemies for help.

They help, but it's never enough.

Life in my world is tough.
