Slumber

I was so positive when summer ended,

Boy, did I make a mistake.

My Pegasus hasn't landed,

The water has dried in my lake.

Spent so many months wondering what's wrong,

Lost all the fun I had.

I just walked with my head down, trying to follow along,

Forgot how it feels to be mad.

I should've held on to the summer

And to its warm joyful days,

Because now that I've fallen into a slumber

I lost track of all the ways.
