Everything I Need

Secrets I only share with paper,

Only me and the ocean, nothing matters.

Notice the sky's colors as the sun sets.

You and I have a world so insane, so mad.

Adoring it as much as we can.

Swift fingers on the keyboard;

Tales of my tiny world,

Obscured by this nightmare called reality,

Rushing to save the quality,

Your pure imagination gets written down.

Okay, I sigh.

Can't you see the burning sky?

Ever cared? Ever seen?

And enjoying the gorgeous breeze,

Noticing the waves, touching your feet.

Tears, forget them all.

Rage, ignore as you hear the calls.

Amazed, you come closer to that little spot of joy.

Vacation really makes you feel like life's your toy.

Escaping is what I really do crave;

Love feels really powerful, like a wave.

Feeling it all, feeling the universe around.

Rising tides, no frustration, no sound.

Express, all you need to do.

Empowering, I can tell you.

Distance, so sweet, so beloved.

Obviously, I'm not just one of the crowd.

My voice is just way too loud.
