You frantically looked between Steve and the chained up man.

"Penny. Please, you're my last chance." Steve pleaded.

You sighed and walked over to the man, and stooped down in front of him.

He was restrained so you weren't afraid.

His chest was heaving up and down and he breathed.

He was wearing a burgundy hoodie and other dirty clothes.

You slowly reached out to him and tilted his chin to get a better look when he shook awake.

You screamed and ran a few feet back.

You peeked back at him from behind Steve's back.

"Bucky?" You asked coming from behind Steve who was giving you a look.

"You know each other?" Steve asked.

"I met him last night I-"

"Who are you?" Bucky asked causing your heart to sink.

You weren't to most unique memorable person but still. You saw him last night.

"Guess he forgot about me." You said in a defeated tone.

"Steve." Bucky breathed out.

"I'm here Buck."

"What happened?"

"When? Last night or a few nights before?"

Bucky cursed under his breath.

"Every goddamn time." He bit out.

"Steve I don't-" you began but Steve raised a finger cutting you off.

"Bucky. I'm going to unchain you."

Your breath hitched. Why the hell would he do that? He was probably chained up for a reason, most likely a good one.

"You need to promise me that you won't hurt anyone or run away."

Bucky nodded,"You know me Steve."

Steve walked over to Bucky while you stood in a corner fearfully watching them.

Bucky hardly even glanced your direction.

A few minutes of pulling and twisting the large metal chains Steve finally freed Bucky.

You stood there awkwardly not knowing what to do as they talked to each other in whispers.

You cleared your throat catching their attention.

"Right." Steve said,"Well Bucky since you don't remember, this is Penelope."

Bucky finally looked at you. His blue eyes were piercing and vicious yet calm at the same time.

"Hi." He said,"Sorry I dont remember you, where have we met?"

"Uh last night, at a Chinese place in town. Then I almost got mugged but you saved me and walked me home."

He cocked his head to the side.

"I don't know why I don't remember." He said in almost a whisper.

"People have been screwing with your mind Buck." Steve said.

"He's the one you were telling me about?" You turned to Steve, he nodded.

"Buck, Penny is a psychologist. She can help you."

"I wouldn't put money on that." Bucky mumbled under his breath.

"Just talk to her, give it a chance. I know you want to be better. This will help." Steve pleaded.
