Your eyes remained wide looking straight at the faces of your parents who shouldn't have been home yet. As Jonathan's head turned to face what you had been staring at, the gaze of your parent's turned to meet his instead. It was clear that the moment your mother saw his face she instantly recognized him as she struggled quickly with her seat belt with excitement before opening the car door and rushing toward Jonathan's car.

Jonathan rolled his window done as your mom seemed to do everything in her power not to squeal with excitement as she had known of your crush on him for quite some time.

"Oh you're Joyce's boy!" she exclaimed rather loudly even though she actually knew his name. "(Y/n) was right you sure are  handsome!"

"MOM!" you quickly half-yelled feeling extremely embarrassed that your mother was currently out of control.

"What? That's what you told me right? Every single day after school you went on and on...." she began before noticing the words you were forming with your lips.

"I'll kill you..." you mouthed to hear careful not to make any noise for fear Jonathan would hear your violent threat toward your mother.

Thankfully, he didn't appear to hear a thing as he simply chuckled and extended his hand out toward your mother who looked even more amused.

"It's nice to meet you, Mrs. (Yr/Ln)." he greeted keeping eye contact with her surely trying to make a good impression.

Your mom shook his hand in return and introduced herself by her first name. Your nerves started to relax seeing the two of them hit if off though you couldn't help but notice your day walk straight into the house surely upset that his only child had started dating.

"It's really great talking to you and everything..." you started breaking into their conversation as politely as possible. "But we were just heading out and really need to get going."

Reluctantly, your mom backed away from the driver's side window as she quickly said her goodbyes not wanting to keep you and Jonathan waiting any longer. Jonathan rolled up his window as he backed out of the driveway carefully ready to head down the road.

"Your mom sure is nice." he commented with a slight chuckle in his voice. "I can see where you get it from."

"Yeah she's pretty cool." you agreed glancing down toward your hand as you felt Jonathan grab a hold of it tightly just as he had the night before. "But sometimes she says a little too much..."

"If it makes you feel any better I constantly told Will about you." he confused with a smile giving you a sideways glance before moving his eyes back toward the road. "He's been dying to meet you."

Listening to his words you couldn't help but give his hand a gentle squeeze as you heard a small amount of hurt in his voice at the mention of his brother.

"I'm pretty excited to meet him too." you replied. "Have you heard anything at all? Anything from the police? Or your Dad?"

"Hopper is in charge of the investigation." he started instantly recognize the name. "He said they've been looking around where his bike had been but nothing so far."

The mention of finding Will's bike had been news to you though you didn't want to bring it up that he did not tell you. Though with finding Will's bike without Will nearby wasn't a good sign. In fact, the chances of finding him just got even lower than it was before.

"Dad claims he hasn't seen him." he continued with a deep breath. "I searched his house and there was no sign of him ever being there. I just don't even begin to know where he could be."

"He couldn't have gotten far." you told him trying to seem as optimistic as possible though you had a sick feeling in your stomach that surely matched his. "I'm sure police have put his sign up in neighboring towns. Someone is going to see him."

"I hope your right. I just don't want him to think he's in trouble and continue hiding." he replied turning slightly on his steering wheel changing roads.

Silence fell upon the two of you as you were no unsure of what to say. You wanted desperately to tell him everything will be okay but you weren't so sure of that yourself. The possibly was great that something bad had happened to him though you prayed that wasn't this case. This town was small, close, and not ready to handle this kind of a tragedy. Something like this just didn't happen here and something definitely felt wrong.

The thought of mentioning Kelly came to your mind though you fought back the urge to tell him about her knowing he had enough to worry about. Plus Nancy promised to help you look tomorrow if she still hadn't appeared by the weekend. You would have to tell her first thing tomorrow in home room and hope she'll keep good on her promise.

"I just want you to know I'm here for you." you spoke suddenly turning your eyes and body toward him in your seat. "No matter what."

Jonathan bit his lower lip as he seemed to be absorbing what you had just said. His grip instantly became tighter on your hand almost to the point where it was slightly uncomfortable. He was aching and you prayed that this nightmare would end soon and surely it would.

"I know." he responded after a few moments of silence. "I know I'm not alone. This...uh...this might be a little soon but...I just want you to know that I love you. A lot. And I'm really thankful you're here."
