Nozomi x deaf!reader

A/N: Here's your request, Fennekingirl1996! I had to educate myself a little for this one, so I hope I did this some justice and well, yeah. I just hope I don't offend anyone with my portrayal of deaf!reader-chan. I also hope you guys could forgive me for taking longer than usual on this one!

Also I've seen and used the word 'you' so many times writing these that I had to make this one in first person just so the word 'you' could stop looking so weird to me. Like, 'you' doesn't even seem like a word to me right now ><

Just letting you guys know in case you're wondering about the POV change---Also I really like Nozomi with her hair braided and styled like the above picture.

Anyway, I'll stop rambling, here's the story!

I walked through the halls of Otonokizaka as I made my way to the student council room. I was asked to deliver some papers by a teacher who I just so happened to be passing by, so here I was carrying a small stack of papers I don't particularly care about.

I let out a sigh as I walk through the halls as a girl with orange hair runs past me, followed by a panting brown haired girl shortly after. She seems to try to call out to the girl further ahead while I merely internally shrug and continue on my way.

I'm pretty sure those two were two of the nine members of the famous school idol group that goes here that my friend told me about, however when you're deaf, it's a little hard to appreciate them as much as everyone else since what they do involves singing and talking and well, again, I'm deaf. 

I think they all dance gracefully, though, from what I've seen. I'm sure their singing is just as great. Maybe once I get implants I could listen to their singing...

I knocked once I reached a door that had the words "student council room" on it. I assumed that whoever was inside, if anyone, had heard it and probably said I could come in so I opened the door.

Looking around the room I saw the famous president and vice president duo, and μ's members, Eli Ayase and Nozomi Tōjō respectively.

As is the case when I see them around campus, I find myself wanting to stare at Nozomi. Usually I would let myself do so, but I'm still carrying a stack of papers in my hands and no matter how small it was, I was afraid I'd drop them. I figured that allowing myself to stare at the purple headed female was against my best interest of not looking like a complete fool so I pointedly kept my gaze between Eli's face and the area around her purple haired companion.

Knowing they're probably saying something to me, if their moving lips are any indication, I more or less appear to ignore them as I walk to place the stack in front of them.

Once I place the small stack down, I look up and note the slightly confused expressions on their faces, probably due to my lack of response. My general lack of a reaction to anything probably freaked them out somewhat too, I guess.

I take out my smartphone, open up the notes app, and start typing. I mean, I could talk, more or less. Most people assume that I can't though, so I just play off that usually.

Hi, sorry, I'm deaf. I was asked by a teacher to deliver these here.

I place my phone in front of them on the desk to let them read what I typed.

I watch, amused, as their expressions change from confusion to understanding. I also note the look of sympathy that flashes for a moment through Eli's face and the frown that I almost missed on Nozomi's face.
