The morning was eerie.
(Y/n) was now sitting on stool next to the counter with her favorite caffeine drink in hand. She took sips as she stared at her TV. The TV was off and she was just really in deep thought.
Perhaps a bit of television would be best to get things off her mind. She grabbed the nearby remote controller and pressed the power button and flipped through channels. Being a Sunday morning, nothing was on, but the news, and so she turned to the local news. Nothing interesting, just talking about new businesses coming around where she lives. However, her blank and bored expression wore off as she was now instantly intrigued.
"Reports say a crashed car was found in the woods, it was a fresh car crash. The car had nothing in it, and had no sign of how it ended up there," the female reporter went on.
They released the location of where it was found. Not near any road whatsoever. But what made this interesting was... that was her car. Her flipping car. "How the hell!?" she yelled to herself.
"Well, that explains some things...in a way," she whispered, mentally screaming.
She called the local station that was busy broadcasting the show casing of her damaged car in the middle of nowhere. As it rang and with little luck of it happening with a busy station as itself that she wouldn't be able to get a hold of them. The line went blank. "Agh!" she yelped as she tried to call again. It wouldn't even try to call. (Y/n) went angry and confused detective mode. She checked on the line of the phone, and nothing seemed visibly wrong with it. From there, she scavenged and tried to know what caused the troubling.
After realizing that the line was cut, she frowned in irritation. She needed to do something out of the house. Like now!
A small meal at a restaurant will surely do, she thought to herself, smiling.
A small Starbucks was nearby where she happened to live, so it wouldn't a long walk, unlike yesterday's surprised walk. Grunting, she remembered yesterday, her feet were slightly sore still and she hated the feeling that still was within her. A feeling of being lost, a big fear of hers. While she walked yesterday, being lost had tore her soul, forcing her to cry. One thing she then thought of..
I haven't really cried since middle school.
So it really did confuse her, usually she was a strong, independent soldier, ready to fight, but the fears that try to consume her broke down those walls without much effort. Maybe she overthinks things and thought pessimistically, like always.
Within a couple of minutes, she was outside her house and walking down the slow streets, sidewalks. Not many cars went down the streets where she happened to live. Which was pretty nice in many ways.
She had to walk towards Rosswood Park, and go past there to the Starbucks that she wanted to visit.
Her shoes made a light tapping sound as she left. Her (f/c) hoodie was slightly over-sized and went down a little over her hips, and with that stretchy, skinny jeans with her black sneakers having dirt stains on the edges of them. Her (e/c) was in messy bun/or just let out and brushed.
When she was in Rosswood Park, or rather the sidewalk around the park, she observed the place, the noticing some people there. Usually, not many people visited the park, claiming it to be haunted or something, but sometimes people were willing to go for their kids. Yet, there were no kids, just three guys, one had a camera that was focused on the woods along the park's borders. The other two relaxed in a shaded area with benches. Wondering what they were doing, she slowed her walking pace, and kept keeping a close eye on them with the corner of her eye. Perhaps she was spying, if you'd call it that, but she prefer, that she was making sure they weren't doing any vandalism.
Then a guy noticed she was looking somehow, or he just saw her, but now she felt like she was caught so her walking pace sped by many times and she tried to flee. Once out of sight, she sighed, irritated, she focused on getting to the great ol' Starbucks.
