Fingers danced to the beat, as in they were like people slamming their feet down. It was past Christmas and (Y/n)'s brother's graduation party, and now her brother lived under the same roof and he was looking for a job in his profession. Punk rock bands played from the kitchen as her brother checked his laptop for any replies on the kitchen table. (Y/n) quite enjoyed some of the songs, as did their father, but he wasn't here to enjoy it.
(Y/n) was tapping her (s/c) fingers on the window sill as she stared out the window. Kicked back and relaxed, she aimlessly stared at the field of white, gleaming snow. It had been snowing pretty badly. Storm after storm. It was hazardous and quite awful since in the back roads, they didn't put salt on the street like the main roads. It had an upside too, it was something out of a cliché film, bountiful snow, enjoyment, calm. That's the way everything seems, is it not?
True, this cliché dream can describe these scene, but it had a backside to it. There was still fear, still paranoia, still frustration, and still confusion. Still everything haunted her.
She was still very perplexed about this situation. Alex and Tim were involved in this mess. She wanted answers, she wanted truth. However, deeply, she wanted reassurance from this all.
Snuggled in her sweater, she sighed and groaned. She could demand answers, but she still had this fear. She avoided both men at all cost. She had Tim call her several times, but she never answered. He had drove to her house to see if everything was alright, but apparently she and her brother were out somewhere.
The past four weeks she spent scanning the footage, over and over. She was very worn out. Her brother had a deep interest in what was happening. He didn't know much about it, but he was all over the case. (Y/n) had worn him several times to back off and that this was risky. He simply didn't budge or listen. He was just another overprotective brother. She didn't mind him being overprotective, but sometimes it was ridiculous.
"Hey, (Y/n)?" Her brother called from the kitchen.
"Ya?"
"Do you want to go to the store with me? I'm getting a new camera as a Christmas gift for me-self."
"Sure!" She called from the living room. She was already dressed for the day: sweater with a tank top underneath, two layers of pants and socks and boots. She got up, threw on her (f/c) coat and waited for her brother at the door. After a little shopping, (Y/n) insisted that she went to the nearby cafe and he'd pick her up. She felt tension, thick I the air. She needed some sort of break.
Sitting down as she got her drink and little side dish, she fumbled with her phone.
Everytime the door opened, a little bell sounded, and (Y/n) would always curiously look. After the tenth bell rang, she looked. About dropped her drink as she realized whom was here. She shuffled in the booth and made sure she couldn't be seen. Why Alex? Dammit!
He got his order and sat in the back of the place. Before I put much thought, I swayed over there. Making anger evident on my face. I plopped in the chair in front of him as he watched confused.
"Explain. Now," I placed the camera that was in my coats' pocket on the table.
"You know what's happening. Don't you!" I yelling in a whisper. I wasn't really controlling myself.
"Listen, (Y/n). You shouldn't be here. You're infected, aren't you?"
"Why shouldn't I be here!? What the hell do you mean infected by?" I tried to keep my voice low. "It doesn't have to be like this (Y/n)," Alex seemed oddly calm. "Imagine-."
"You're changing the subject, damnit!"
He didn't respond. He rolled his eyes and adjust his seat. "I would hide, (Y/n)."
It was a few minutes of questioning that she couldn't get a single, straight answer.
She left and took the camera with her. She didn't feel so calm like usually. Her fear has disappated and she was driven by something else.
Picking her phone from her pocket. Dialed a few numbers.
"Hey, Tim." Silence, "Can you come here right now! I'm at... Rosswood Park. I want answers! Capishe? I'm tired of being blind! And damnit it's cold!"
