Hyde's Lament

113 5 1

I have always existed
And you knew it.

You, who have forced me into
silence,
Will never understand
Imprisonment the way I do.

Your facade is weak.
Even I can easily see through it.
You know you want me to live,
Do not deny me.

A man can only keep
Himself in line
for so long until he
breaks.

I am what you are afraid of.
I am the raw emotions
you never let yourself feel.

I am the truth; You are a liar.
I crave justice; You are a bystander.
You are a coward.

How dare you pretend
to be a man of stone?
Since when did emotion
Become your enemy?
