The Horror of Despair.

Another restless night
An empty stomach churning
Triggering both a need to sustain
And the feeling to abstain

The weight of it all presses
down
The bones creak and groan under
All the pressure on them.

It came back
It found me
I can feel the life draining
From the gallows of
What I called eyes

The liquid is hot
bitter and salty

And for a second
I believe I've been blinded,
The world turning black
As my ribs splinter and
Finally cave in.
