No matter for better or worse
I feel you near
But the fear is not enough
to put me down in the earth
Drop after drop
As liquid death dilutes blood
Second after second
But regret always sets in much too late
Thoughts race too fast
I can't keep up
Tripping over words
The images that don't exist.
They haunt my future and my life
Why does it feel like
My rib cage is caving in
The bones shrinking
Restricting the lungs reach
Tighter.
It hurts to breathe
Tighter.
It burns like fire
Tighter.
I think I'm dying
Tighter.
Why am I numb in body
While screaming in mind
I want to run
I want to hide
But this goddamn feeling
Will never fucking subside
