Adam had, through Fabian, gotten a translation of the two wolves' pack laws, so he could deal with the second assignment. At the same time, he had handed over a translation of their first assignment.

Fabian had already marked it, and given Igor's a reasonable mark, but Dmitry had barely passed in his view. Adam added his own comments to it, and concurred with the mark, as both had hit everything that he was expecting, but didn't do much more than the bare bones.

When they turned in the second assignment, again just before it would be late, Adam did growl, as again it was in Russian. He passed it to Fabian, who smiled, "You do realise you lose five percent for making us translate it, since you do know English." he calmly told them.

Adam nodded, "And I got a copy of your pack laws, so I can make sure you did your report right and is complete. Dismissed!"

Fabian handed the papers to another, who could translate the Russian to English for them. Igor looked a little down at that, but it was done; he knew his spot was rocky enough that he didn't want to do any more that couldjeopardise his training, as he knew the Alpha wouldn't be happy if they failed.

Adam smiled as he reviewed Igor's report. He had hit on all the major points he had seen, but had also gone into which ones were not enforced; there were rules about respect that on paper made the two lists similar, but they were ignored and not enforced at all. It felt like he could see the differences. The next morning, there had been a note from Igor in apology and that he asked for another chance.

Dmitry's report on the other side was short, and more described how Wild Valley was 'inferior' to his way, and described only half of the rules, as if he was going by what he had been trained, not from the written rules, as Igor's had. It described the parts Igor said were ignored as not existing, and Adam marked those as wrong, since they did exist on paper, since he had a copy of their pack's rules—well, the version that had been provided to the Academy when it was considering using that pack as a host site.

Fabian came in when he requested, and passed the two very different reports, along with Igor's apology. He looked at Dmitry's report first, frowning when he marked several as false claims since it described that their pack didn't have items that were actually there in the document he had, as that caused the report to fail. Reading through Igor's the frown deepened.  Adam had gone so far as to note the sections of the Pack Laws it came from.

"I can see where the problem is, and now why we had such issues there." Fabian stated, "I didn't see enough that I could deal with, but enough that we had kept a close eye on the students, and kept them mostly separate from the pack. What's your thoughts?"

"Dmitry clearly failed, since he didn't bother referencing much material, and he didn't even comment on the items that are part of the Inter-Pack Treaty we have for this area, just on what items his has that mine doesn't." Most of those were about requirements to be in a rank, mostly based on who their parents were. "And basically implied my pack was weak for allowing anyone try for any rank, if they qualify." He growled, "Ignoring the fact my testing is more stringent to pass and be a certain level."

Fabian nodded, "Yes, and are harder at the higher levels, with not just physical tests, but mental and other requirements."

Adam smiled, "Igor, on the other hand, looks to have done a very good job and even stated that while they had rules on paper, the pack didn't enforce them, giving a large difference between the actual and expected conditions. I had wondered when I saw it."

Fabian nodded, "Dmitry failed the punishment, thus has failed too many courses to pass; I'll let him know that he's being sent home tomorrow." Adam nodded, satisfied. He was considering demanding it for the insulting comments in the paper; if he was going to insult the host pack, he didn't deserve the designation of being a graduate.  If the decision was forced to a challenge, he would be tossing a coin with Brook to see who Dmitry would face.
