The taxi drove through the busy streets and onto a narrow road with little traffic.

"Where are we going?" asked Brielle as she peered out of the window to see the beautiful countryside.

"To my house." said Jack breezily. "It's in a little village called Bacharach."

"You have a house here too?" Brielle asked in surprise.

"Yes. I've got around eighty properties around the world excluding the chain of hotels under the Dixon Enterprises. These were all side investments though." said Jack non-chalantly as though he was talking about the weather.

"They are worth a total of about 500 million dollars or more. The mansion we will be staying at is one of the more expensive ones. It has an orchard and a huge wine cellar too. Dad likes collecting old liquor.

I'll take you to our home in Paris sometime, you have to see the estate there, it has a little lake and a rose garden. If you like horses you will enjoy our ranch in Spain."

He spoke so easily as though all this money and assets were as common as stationary items like pen and paper. Brielle swallowed, not having ever seen or possessed any more than a few hundred dollars at a time. She had never even been out of California, let alone travelled the world. In fact, the only time she had someone put a stamp on her passport was when they had all travelled to Thailand. Hearing him speak about these valuable things, she realised how tiny she was.

"That is amazing." she said with difficulty, averting her eyes and grasping her hands tightly together. She was suddenly hit with a wave of insecurity. No matter how much she tried to believe that she and Jack were perfect for one another, she couldn't.

He was everything an ideal man should be, kind, loving, protective, insanely handsome with a body to die for and tons and tons of money. And here she was, neither a model nor a rich heiress or socialite or anyone she thought was remotely right for him, almost married to him.

"Of course it will all be ours once we get married. Whats wrong?" asked Jack cupping her face with his hand. Brielle had gone silent and her eyes had lost their sparkle. "We will reach in a few more minutes. Are you unwell?"

He looked so concerned, Brielle couldn't help but feel warm and fuzzy inside. She shook her head. "No, I'm okay."

"You're not. Spill darling." said Jack kissing her chastely on the lips and smirking.

Brielle took a deep breath, trying to find an excuse. Telling him the truth would probably upset him, considering how many times he had reassured her that she was the only woman he ever wanted to be with. She didn't want him to know she was second guessing herself. She had to be convincing though, because this man could read her like a book.

"I love you Jack." she said kissing him passionately before blushing a deep red. "I've been a virgin all my life, what if I mess up?"

"That's what you are worried about?" asked Jack with a laugh, looking relieved as he gathered her up into his arms and kissed her soundly.

"You have no idea how delighted I am to be yours." he said huskily nuzzling the spot behind her ear. "Just relax. There is honestly nothing you can't learn and nothing that I can't teach you."

Brielle felt a smile creeping up her face. "There can never be anyone else." she said breathlessly as the car came to a halt.

Her heart hammered in her chest as he leaned forward behind her to unlock the car's door. Their bodies pressed together for a brief moment and it both of them felt as though an electric current had shot through their bodies.
