Chapter 21
I froze
My parents
“Um” I muttered
“Mum” said Reece stiffly, shaking his head hastily at his questioning mother
Debbie looked from me to Reece and back “I’m sorry dear, I didn’t-“
I shook my head “its fine”
Reece ran his hand up and down my leg, trying to reassure me, but it didn’t do much
“Do you want to talk about it?” he whispered, leaning close to my ear
I looked down at my almost empty plate and back up at Debbie
“My parents and I don’t talk” I said, answering Reece’s question by answering his mothers “They didn’t approve of me quitting school, I don’t see them anymore”
Debbie nodded and smiled sympathetically “I don’t particularly think that’s a good parental move-“
“Mum” hissed Reece
“-But you always have us dear, consider us your family now”
I smiled “Thank you”
“Now that dinner’s done, how about we go embarrass Reece” suggested Liv
The family grinned while the only son frowned “Please don’t”
Liv grinned, 2 strips of blonde hair falling down the side of her face and fluttering against her cheeks from the wind of the open window
“Baby picture time”

“AWWWW” I cooed as Liv opened a large photo album and Reece’s little face instantly
He was wearing a red and white stripy shirt, he was looking up at the camera, eyes big and blue, his lips were pink, pouted slightly, his nose was little, his cheeks were round and chubby and his hair was in a flat style, it was thin, and a slightly lighter shade of the brown that he had now
“Reece, you were so adorable” I smiled looking up at him
He was sitting on the arm of the lounge across from us, arms folded, an embarrassed smile on his face
“What happened?” laughed Sam, pushing his leg and wiggling his eyebrows from his seat next to Reece
Reece didn’t reply, he just slid off the arm of the lounge and ended up sprawled across Sam’s lap, who was now writhing in pain
Liv pulled the photo out of its slot to reveal the same one behind it, only in a slicker photo print shine
“Here” she smiled handing me the photo, I now noticed it was on simple paper rather than the proper photo paper “Take it”
“Really?”
“Yeah, mum always has spares, for family, I don’t think she ever thought we’d be giving one to a girlfriend”
“Very funny” said Reece, rolling off Sam and onto the floor, putting his hands out to catch him in a push-up position
He stood and kissed my lips gently, sitting on the arm of the lounge next to me, his arm over my shoulder
“You two are so cute” smiled Liv closing the photo book and setting it back on the shelf
“Wanna go to bed?” he whispered in my ear
I looked up at him, his pink lips in a small smile, his blue-grey eyes staring at me so lovingly that I realized we hadn’t really celebrated our relationship or the I love you’s from the plane
I smiled and took his hand, tucking the photo into my back pocket
“Night guys” I smiled as Reece tugged me up the stairs
“Night Honey” smiled Debbie from the lounge with Darren
“See ya Sam” smiled Reece as Sam went to slip out the back door and jump the fence
“See you” he smiled
“Don’t be too loud!” hissed Liv with a wink
I blushed as Reece continued to hug me out of the room, down the hallway and up the stairs
I guess it did look a little like we were running off to do something teenager couples sleeping in the same room would do
“You heard her” smiled Reece kissing me as we stepped into his room “No moaning”
I laughed and kissed him back, my arms around his neck, his arms around my waist
Feet clicked doors closed, legs moved bodies towards the large double bed and I was lying beneath Reece, chuckling as he scolded me every time I moaned slightly from his love bites
He rolled me on top of him and kissed my lips once again “I love you”
“I love you” I whispered back, kissing him harder than he had managed to kiss me tonight
He groaned and I flicked his ear “No noise”
“We aren’t doing anything” he laughed, rolling on his side and holding me close to his chest
I laughed “Are we going to be?”
“I love you” kiss “I love you” kiss “I love you”
“I love you Reece”
He moaned and pressed his nose against mine, biting my lip lightly making me smile “Say it again”
I giggled “Make m-“
He kissed me hard “Please”
I smiled “I love you”
He shivered as I ran my hand over his neck, whispering the words in his ear again each time he asked
“I love you so much”
I smiled “You’re so cheesy”
He laughed and rolled onto his back, keeping his arm around my waist
He pulled his phone from his pocket and opened Twitter
“That’s romantic” I rolled my eyes, snuggling into his side as I watched his fingers type on twitter

I smiled “You want everyone to know?”
“Everyone” he assured me “You’re my girl Quinn, I always want you to be my girl”
I kissed his lips sweetly and laid my head into his shoulder
That night we talked and kissed and laid together
It was the perfect night
It was 2 days before family
It was 2 days before Presents
It was 2 days before I truly felt like a Mastin
It was 2 days before Christmas
