Chapter 26
“Dude, I’m Frunk as Duck” sighed Nathan, slinging his arm over Liv’s shoulder
I laughed and poked Reece
He chuckled and pulled me into him, kissing my head
“So, I guess you two will be kissing when midnight comes” laughed Kailyn, winking at us
“Defiantly” Reece nodded as I brought my 5th beer to my lips again and finished it off
We were all sitting around the pool, the gate was open and Reece’s friends were coming in and out, some were down the side of the house, others were doubled over laughing or chucking in the garden
It was 11:30
We sat in a circle on the dry concrete corner of the pool area; clockwise from me was Sam, Kailyn, Liv Nathan, Brondon, Brad and Reece on my right
“Here” smiled Sam handing me another bottle from the eskie beside him
I popped the lid and clicked my bottle with his “Cheers”
He nodded and we both took a large gulp
“You trying to get Reece’s girl drunk, aye Sammy?” winked Brondon, downing his 7th bottle
Reece tightened his grip on my waist, fingers digging into the material of my shirt where it hit my hip
“Maybe he is maybe he isn’t” I shrugged saving Sam from the question and Reece’s glare, all eyes landed on me as I tipped back my bottle again “Either way, I’m gonna get drunk”
Brondon smiled at me “Think you already are lovely”
We all laughed
“We’ve got half an hour till midnight, what we wanna do?” asked Kailyn, downing the last of her bottle
I smiled, she reminded me of Bre
“I know what I wanna do” smiled Liv, standing from her seat and pulling Kailyn up with her
The two girls giggled and started dancing drunkenly towards the grass area
The boys clapped and whistled at them and I laughed
“Quinn, come here bub” called Kailyn
“Coming” I smiled handing my bottle to Sam and standing to dance with them
“Dude, your girl is hot!” I heard Brad call
I flipped him the bird and kept dancing, while they chorused in “oooh’s”
The three of us laughed and continued dancing, swaying our hips to the music
I saw Nathan grab Liv and pull her back into his chest, moving his hips with hers
Kailyn winked at me and nodded at them, I smiled and nodded back
Brad grabbed Kailyn and pulled her back into him, dragging her off to the food
Two arms circled around my waist and pulled them back to me
I smiled as their lips kissed below my ear
“Babe” Reece whispered huskily in my ear “I didn’t know you could dance like that”
I giggled “There’s a lot you don’t know about me”
“Like what?”
“I’m flexible” I whispered leaning back and kissing his chin, some of his stubble brushing my lips
