The first day is pretty uneventful, just the usual announcements. Like, what the teachers expect from you, and what kind of projects you'll be doing in different classes. It was boring, yeah, but at least you wouldn't get homework until tomorrow.

You head into the small room of your last period, it was your favorite class, the one you normally had before lunch your first year here. The room was utterly silent as you walked, and with dread, you realized that you must be late.

The teacher ignores it though, proceeding to continue on from where you interrupted. It was weird, but you liked it, if only things could always be this lucky for you. You slide into an empty desk towards the front of the room, next to you is Garroth, Zane's older brother. He smiles at you, and you smile back. He was a nice guy, but you always had thought Zane was cuter.

The teacher rambles on, and you feel yourself start to tune out. In fact, your eyelids were almost closed when something hit the back of your head. Flustered, you turn around, eyeing a small piece of folded paper on the ground.

A paper airplane.

Carefully, so your teacher doesn't notice, you grab it off the floor. You unfold the complex creases, finally having one large, crumpled piece of paper on your lap. You peek around the room, but no one seems to be paying attention to you.

You look at the paper, your pupils traveling over the skinny paragraph. The handwriting is in detailed cursive, and in the note it reads: Hello, Y/N. You may not know who I am, or who this is from, but that's a good thing. I know you're in love, but for your own safety, you should dump Zane. If not, you and I might just have a problem.

No way, not again. This wasn't going to happen this year, you weren't going to let some empty threat get to you.

It was easy to tell yourself that, but it wasn't as easy to follow through with your plan. You felt chills run up your back, it was creepy, knowing that someone wasn't afraid to beat you up. You feel your eyes move around the room, glancing at everyone sitting in the classroom. From what you knew, no one in this classroom seemed that evil, leaving you quite puzzled as to who would have sent this note.

The bell rings, but you don't feel happy that one day is done. Instead, you feel numb, and can feel your head constantly peak over your shoulder. You try to calm yourself, it would be alright after all. If you could survive Gene, then you knew you could survive this, or at least you hoped you could.

Author's Note: I'm so sorry that this chapter is so delayed, but as I said in my Garroth x Reader, I really have no excuse. Only busy schedules, and not having many ideas for either of my active stories. But, here we are, and I'm going to try and stick to a schedule for at least a month, no delays! But, before I go, I'd like to thank you all for the excitement and encouragement on the first chapter. Please know that I am truly thankful for everything you are doing, and everything you have done, you all have made this a truly wonderful experience so far! -Kayla/Author
