You slip a plain, dark hoodie over your head. It was starting to seem like all the drama, the Kawaii~Chan drama, had happened years ago. But in reality, it was still just a week ago. You sigh, and grab your sneakers, slipping out of your bedroom.

Although it was still relevant, you didn't want to think about it. You figured it would be better to focus on one problem at a time, and that one, seemed less important at the moment. Right now, you needed to show Zane the letter, so he can work his magic like he did for Gene.

Embarrassed, you start to walk down your street sidewalk, feeling odd that you didn't even have a license yet. Anyone else your age would be eager, of course, to spend a lavish amount on something brand new, but you couldn't really be bothered. It stung you at first, but you shrugged it off, weirdness was starting to be cool anyways.

You spot the small, lonely cafe that was only a few blocks away from where you lived. Two years ago, this place was lively, but now business was rare. In fact, the only reason you were here was to meet up with Zane, just like you had your first year here. Finally, you were going to tell him, as he was the one who always seemed to solve all your stupid problems.

When you approach the entrance, you see his lanky figure poised in front of it. He has hands in his pockets, his eyes casually looking around for him. You run up to him, and carelessly, hug him tight.

At first he seems shocked, but gently, he wraps his arms around your waist, embracing you. When you separate, he smiles.

"Y/N, hey. I'm glad you didn't ditch me."

"Well, I'm not you," you sarcastically remark, sticking your tongue out at him.

"Haha, funny. Now, what did you want to show me?"

You nod, remembering exactly what you were here for. "Right," you reply, "follow me."

Together you head inside, a worn out stereo playing a cheesy 2000's pop song. Instead of placing any orders, you just take a seat, you immediately taking the crumpled piece of paper out of your pocket.

You slam the paper onto the table, directly under Zane's nose. "I got this letter on the first day. I have no clue who it's from, and that's where you come in. Do your...thing."

He sighs, "Oh Y/N, where would you ever be without me?"

You smile. Not only because of him teasing you, but because you were back. You and Zane, together again, just like it had been. Even if it felt like everything was going wrong, at least you were with him again. And that might just be enough to get you through all of this.

Author's Note: WOOO, we are back! I am feeling really good, and motivated, to get on a schedule. I'm thinking of trying my best to post every Saturday, as I really have nothing to do then. I am of course, sorry however, like I said in my last chapter. But I'm back, and trust me, going to be more active than ever. Before I go, I'd also like to thank you for over 50k on the original. Honestly, that's so crazy, as I can remember idolizing stories with 18k back when I first joined. To know that I have even surpassed that seems like a dream, so I'd like to thank those of you who made that possible. Until next week, peace. -Kayla/Author
