"I need a favor from you."

>>>>

You narrow your eyebrows, stubbornly, showing him that you didn't care.

"No," you say flatly. "I won't help."

Desperate, he tries to reason. "Please, I'll owe you, I promise, whatever you need."

Still, you shake your head. No matter how he phrased it, you weren't going to agree. You hated Gene, and would never be able to side with him.

He frowns, "Alright, fine."

You watch as he walks away, feeling satisfied. But then, you realize something. If you did this 'favor' for him, you could possibly get him to be on your side. Which meant that Gene could, help you.

You listened to yourself, realizing how crazy you sounded, but at the same time figuring it might be worth it. After all, Gene was a master at scheme's like this, and could be useful to your cause.

So, you call out after him. Instantly, he turns around, giving you the irritating smirk.

"Change your mind?" He questions.

You sigh. "Yes, but, only on one condition."

He nods, "Alright, go on."

"If I help you, you have to help me," you propose.

He reaches out a hand, "Alright, deal."

You pull your hand back, "You promise?"

He laughs, "Oh Y/N, when have I ever lied?"

>>>>

As Gene finishes his story, your eyes widen.

"That bad?" You question, nervously.

He sighs, "That bad."

There you sat, in the courtyard, with your sworn enemy. It was afterschool now, and Gene was finally telling you what he needed your help for.

It was a long, and twisted story, one that you still didn't understand fully. But, to put it in shorter terms, Gene needed you to essentially clean his record, or at least the part you played in his record. So, basically, you had to lie, and 'admit' that your sophomore incident was nothing but a hoax.

You weren't sure why you were still agreeing. I mean, it was Gene's problem if his past was finally catching up to him, and leading him to almost being expelled from his college. But, yet, you couldn't help but to stupidly agree.

All you wanted to do at this point was figured out who solved this letter, and if lying got your closer to that, you'd take it. You knew how desperate it was, but at least you would still know the truth, and have the satisfaction of busting him for all the hassle he caused.

Flash forward to the present. Gene is anxiously staring at you, seeing if you'll still accept, now knowing what your end of the bargain would be.

You nod, "Alright, but, if you don't fulfill my end, I'll take back every word."

Now, he nods. "Of course, but, what exactly is your end?"

You sigh, pulling the paper out of your jacket pocket. Luckily, you had kept in tucked in there since the night with Zane.

Awkwardly, you had the folded paper to him, feeling weird as your hands almost touch.

Even more awkwardly, you watch in silence as he reads the note. You felt, bashful almost, having someone you hardly knew invading your personal life.

Finally, he finishes, laughing hysterically. "Ha, wow, you really have it bad Y/N."

You frown, narrowing your eyebrows. "Shut up. Do you agree or not?"

He smiles, "Well, yeah. But really, you have got to stop getting into drama."

And so it was settled. You, yes you, were teaming with Gene.

What am I getting myself into?
