Levi's POV:

I tried to sit up more on the wall, gasping in pain as I did so.

"Eren....Eren?" I called, my voice basically gone.

I saw the body against the wall stir, lifting its head. It looked over at me.

I heard it gasp, it lifted itself off the wall and sauntered over to me slowly.

I couldn't look as high as how tall the person was so I just sat against the wall waiting.

The person collapsed beside me

"Levi!" I looked over and saw Eren.

I couldn't believe it.

Eren, he was alive. Sitting in front of me, alive.

I lifted my hand, putting it on his cheek disbelievingly.

"Eren...you..." I managed to rasp out before starting to cough. I saw blood coming out of Eren's head in the low light, the only light coming from the few street lamps.

"No...Noo....Noooooooo" that same voice who yelled in pain spoke words. I looked over at it.

It was Jean.

He was sitting on the ground, a body in his arms. His shoulders shook as he caressed the face of the body in his arms.

"M-Marco...w-why..." Jean sobbed, a smile of pure agony over his face as he looked at the body in his arms.

I looked down, squinting to look clearly at the slowly moving body in Jean's arms.

A dark haired boy, his chest barely rose and fell.

Eren put his arms around me, fussing over my chest wound and my head, but I was captivated by the scene before me.

I barely registered sirens blaring in the distance.

Singing.

Soft, broken singing. It was off tune and cracking

But it was the most beautiful thing I have ever heard.

It was Jean, he was sobbing but forcing the musical words out of his mouth slowly.

"Away, away

I love you like you've never felt the pain, away
I promise you don't have to be afraid, away
The love you see right here stays so lay your head on me
Little do you know
I know you're hurt while I'm sounding asleep
Little do you know
All my mistakes are solely drowning me
Little do you know
I'm trying to make it better piece by piece
Little do you know
I love you till the sun diesAway, just wait
I love you like I've never felt the pain, just wait
I love you like I've never been afraid, just wait
Our love we see right here stays so lay your head on meAway, away
I love you like you've never felt the pain, away
I promise you don't have to be afraid, away
The love you see right here stays so lay your head on me
Lay your head on me
So lay your head on me
'Cause little do you know
I love you till the sun dies....

I love you Marco..." Jean finished.

In all that time, through the whole song I was captivated by, I hadn't noticed my vision leaving, my body becoming numb, and the screaming of Eren in the background for me to wake up.
