He Ran. He never stopped. In some ways it made him forget. Forget the way she looked. The last time he went and saw her, she was sleeping. It was hard look at her. She lost a lot of blood, and that almost killed her. The doctors still didn't know if she would even wake up. Maybe she would already be awake if he had been faster. If he had gotten her to the hospital faster. So he ran.
It actually is peaceful. He has lived in Central City his whole life, and he is just now discovering new things. They were building another jitters. He stopped. Iris would love to go there one day. Just the thought pained him. How Iris may never drink coffee again. How he'll never wake up to her already finishing her first cup. He couldn't be in this city right now. Too many memories. So he left. Leaving it all behind for a while.
