The elves had joined the festivities in the Asgardian ballroom. Catalina watched from afar as a few young warriors made their way around, obviously uncomfortable in the presence of such loud people. It was the same with the other elves, even the king himself. The elves stuck together in small groups, content not to interact with the Asgardians no more than they had to.

"Legolas," Catalina called to the elven prince, who was desperately trying his best to stay calm among all of the chaos- as he saw it. "Come and meet my brothers."

Legolas gratefully followed Catalina over to where the three Asgardian princes stood together.

He bowed to the bigger princes, and they nodded in return.

"In the small time she has been back, she has talked more about you than Thor would speak of a lifetime of
Mead," Balder smiled and held out a hand to Legolas.

"Has she?" Legolas looked at Catalina who blushed.

"Well, you and your father the King," said Loki, eyeing the elven king who stood farther away near Odin.

"Everything about your realm sounds very beautiful Prince," said Balder, trying to brush aside Loki's comment.

"Thank you, I do hope Catalina will come to visit again; maybe you three would come with her." Legolas replied politely, not sure if he truly meant what he said.

Loki smirked and leaned on Catalina, knowing of the elven prince's doubts.

"Is that a crown?" Blurted Thor. He stared at the silver crown that wrapped about Legolas's head.

"Yes-"

"It looks like something you would wear Catalina," the god of thunder burst out laughing.

Catalina glared at her older brother.
"Don't pay any attention to him," she said to Legolas. She went over to Thor and took his glass of mead and filled it up, then dumped it over his head.

"You fool," she hissed at him.
Loki chuckled and Balder shook his head. Legolas watched with amusement, but concealed his smile when Thor looked back at him.

When Thor left to dry himself off, the room began to grow quiet as the elven orchestra was brought to the front of the room. Dancing commenced, and the music began, the violins and harps filling the room with their gorgeous noise.

Catalina watched the dancers who were much more graceful than she, hoping the elves had taught her enough to keep up with the Asgardian waltzes that she hated so.

"My lord?" A servant approached the elven king and bowed. "The orchestra wishes to play the Song of the Elves. So if it would not be too much trouble for you...." the servant shifted nervously, unsure of the request he was about to make.

"Yes?" The king asked.

"If you would like to find a dance partner, then they can play the song."
The king frowned, surprised at the request. The Song of the Elves had not been played in thousands of years; not since his wedding. It was one of the songs that tortured him, that made him hate himself. But as he looked around the room, he felt that it was time to move on.

"Play one more song, then I will be ready."

"Yes my lord," the servant bowed and hurried off.

King Thranduil tilted his head to one side and looked about the enormous ballroom, ten times the size of his own. Among the crowd, he saw the royal twins, there green eyes glinting with mischief as they crossed the room together. Catalina's arm was linked with Loki's, bearing the unspoken truth that they could not be separated.
