collin and other things that glow

we make a wish in a vanishing landscape

i wrote poems acknowledging my flaws and stupid decisions instead of taking the moment or the lifetime to recognize them in their reality outside of poetry ;

and then you came along, and we would talk about galaxies even if we didn't know their names. we would laugh at shared jokes on top of painful stories and we would light fires though we were nowhere near being cold.

then you came along

and everything was different.

I didn't want to dump everything into poetry anymore, because you are exactly the poem I have always wanted to write.

In some other life I am sure that we are standing side by side and laughing that in another other life we are apart.

it felt like I'd been cracked like a tree struck by lightening, like somebody had scraped out all the sticky, rotten stuff inside my soul. I have never felt so light.

i can never describe it perfectly, and perhaps it's useless to try,
But-

I think that maybe you came here from Eden just to sit by my side, and between a bleeding heart and a healing soul,  the two of us are as happy as we'll ever need to be.

( this is a mess and has no flow but I trIED  also I stole the little cute things that glow title bit from Savannah im sorry ily )
