All Mine
20 | take a break

The morning of Antoine's departure had arrived so fast that neither Amelia or Antoine were ready for it. The two were sat in Antoine's now old dorm room, the room was silent not even a comfortable silence to be in. Amelia sat staring into space whilst Antoine stood up finishing packing the last few bits he had left, he'd tried getting her attention yet she had hardly noticed his attempt. It was visible to anyone how hurt Amelia was, she was trying to conceal it but failing in the process.

"Lia I think the taxi is here." Antoine spoke grabbing his things, Amelia stood up and followed him.

"Alright let's go." They left the dorm room and silently made they're way outside to the taxi.

They got in and sat holding hands, during the journey Antoine kept looking over at Amelia seeing if she was alright. She had her head on his shoulder and was asleep, she was tired from helping Antoine pack and dealing with all her different emotions. She was so tired of dealing with all of this so all she ever did was sleep so she could forget the pain she'd feel after his departure. Shortly after they arrived at the airport which wasn't as crowded due to the early morning. She grabbed Antoine's suitcase and pushed it along with her whilst they walked into the departures section of the airport.

"I'm already checked in so I guess we can walk up to security and then." He paused not wanting to continue talking.

"Then what? I leave and we'll never see each other again?" Amelia said jumping straight to it, Antoine looked down slightly. He hasn't expected her to say that.

"Don't say that, don't think like that please Amelia."

"Why shouldn't I? It's obvious we're going to break up so you can pursue your career choice." She said coldly, she didn't mean to come across as rude but Antoine understood why she was being like this. If Antoine was in her shoes he'd act the same.

"I don't have to go, I can drop everything right now and go back with you."

"What's the point? you've already signed with the team." She sighed, she didn't want things to be left like this. She tried putting on a brave face and smiling for him.

"Amelia—" He was cut off by her interrupting her.

"Antoine you need to go before you miss your flight." She smiled at him though that smile hurt so much, just the movement caused her so much pain. It was all forced and Antoine knew this but he pushed through regardless of.

"Amelia look—" He paused, he wasn't ready to say what he was going to say next, "Maybe you're right we should take a break because let's face it long distance doesn't exactly work out very well." He hurt him to say that, he could almost hear his heart break.

"If that's what you want." She smiled through the pain this was causing her, she hadn't expected him to want to end things.

Antoine smiled back at her though he was breaking inside, he could he just break up with her like that? He had to in order to be able to leave otherwise he'd drop everything. He was going to miss her so much of course but was always going to remain true to her, keeping his promise of not seeing others even if they're broken up.

He hugged Amelia before heading off to security, once they pulled away they kissed as if they'd never kissed before. The type of kiss where fireworks go off in the background and your whole stomach is filled with butterflies, this was going to be the last memory he has of her. They pulled away smiling to each other before Antoine walked away to security but turning back seeing a few tears fall down Amelia's cheeks.

Amelia walked off and left the airport back into the taxi waiting for her, tears were going down her cheeks and her makeup now a mess from the crying. She was more than upset to see the man she loves well loved now really walk away to Madrid. She missed him already because it's funny how they hated each other at one point and they started dating all of a sudden. She laughed at the memory of him at high school always planning something to hurt her, she remembered how they'd always fight—there wouldn't ever be a day without they're fighting.

She misses him already. So much. She can't even handle it.
