Chapter 3: Like I’m scared of a god

Poseidon’s POV

“This is bad, very bad.” My brother said, pacing around the throne room

“Who do you think it is?” I asked

“I’m not fully sure yet, but I think it is a few of Kronos’s followers.”

“What do they want?”

Zeus stopped pacing “I’m not sure yet.”

Then, Athena walked in… “We need to find out who it is and what they want.”

“My daughter said that Luke had locked her in her room, and had taken Ares.” I noted

“There are several reasons why I don’t trust your daughter.”

“Why?”

“Well, first, Hermes called Zeus from Aqua’s room, right?”

“Yes.” Zeus answered

“Aqua acted like nothing ever happened, and Hermes got hit on the head with a glass vase…”

“What does a glass vase have anything to do with this?” I asked

“There were little pieces of glass on the floor in Aqua’s room…”

“And?”

“And, It looked like someone had cleaned up the mess.”

“Aqua said it herself, she is not going back to Kronos’s side!”

“That does not mean that she is not a suspect, brother.” Zeus said

“You think I took out Ares, Hermes, and Hephaestus?!?” I heard a little girl’s voice call

“Aqua, no, this was not your fault.” I told my daughter

“That’s not what Athena and Zeus think.”

“Zeus, I am just stating the obvious.” Athena said

“Don’t worry, I get it, you don’t trust me.”

“No, that’s not it.”

“Then, why?”

“Athena, tell her what you think.” Zeus said

“But, Zeus…”

“Tell her!” Zeus demanded

Athena nodded, “Hermes called Zeus from your room…”

Aqua’s POV

“Wait, Hermes called Zeus…” I said, trying not to laugh

“Wait, you didn’t know…” Zeus said

“No…”

“Where were you when Hermes and Hephaestus were in your room?” My father asked

“Like, where I woke up?”

“Yes.”

“Well, I had fallen asleep to this wonderful noise…” I lied

“What noise?”

“It was like an ocean’s waves.”

“Percy.” They all said

“What, no, Hephaestus built a pool in my room for me.” I might have wanted the gods gone, but not my brother, even if he was on the wrong side

“Can we see?” Poseidon asked

“Sure.”

I took my dad, Zeus, and Athena to my room and showed them my pool, that Hephaestus had built for me, right before I smashed a glass vase on his head.

“This is it, this is where Hephaestus and Hermes disappeared.” Athena said

Zeus and Poseidon nodded. “But, who would be stupid enofe to smash a vase on both Hermes and Hephaestus’s head’s???”

“Why would it be stupid?” I asked

“Because, if you smash anything on a god’s head, you’re definitely going to be punished later, no matter if you knocked the god out or not, or who you are.” Athena told me

After Athena said that I thought ‘Oh yeah, like I’m scared of a big bad god.’
