Chapter 18

Josh's POV

" what a night." Zeak says as I run my fingers through his hair.

" I know. Hensley's pregnant and engaged. I didn't see that coming tonight at all" I answer.

" when does your big case end?" Zeak askes turning to look up at me.

" in two weeks why?" I asked him.

"Well I was thinking we could get away for a week or so. The hospital just hired a few new people so now I get more time off. I thought since you've been on this case for a while now, you might would want a break after this was over" he said.

" I would love that." I said and kissed him.

"I love you" Zeak now laying on top of me.

"Mmm I love you too" I kissed him.

As our kiss became more heated I couldn't help but grind into him. I couldn't help but moan out as Zeak's lips met my neck. His lips are so dann sinful and I can't ever get enough. I knew it was a bad idea that I didn't put a shirt on after my shower, but right now I was so thankful.

" thank you Jennifer" I said and picked up the phone.

" Joshua Miller law firm, what can I do for you today"

" Hello Mr. Miller, My name is Zane Carter. I was wondering if you could help me out." a voice said from the other end of the phone.

" I will certainly try. What seems to be the problem mr. Carter?" I asked.

" well my brother Brendan Carter is an idiot and was in the wrong place at the wrong time and now he is being charged with murder. They told me that you were the best and I know he's innocent but I don't have enough proof and I don't know how to get more to prove he's not guilty. Could you help me?" he asked.

I really hope this is going to be an easy case.

" I will have to meet with the both of you to get the full story. When would be the best time to meet up to do that?" I asked him

" well you and I can meet up anytime. But my brother can't leave the county until the trial date." He explained.

" okay then where is he?"

" he's in Clearview, South Carolina. He answered.

" let me see what I can do and then I'll get back to you." I said trying not to sound like I was pushing him to get off the phone.

" okay thank you so much."  he said and then hung up. 

There is no way possible that my former high school friend Brandon Carter was a murderer.  I went to school with him for 12 years. He is not capable of doing this. The only problem is that if I take this case and I would have to go back to my hometown and I really don't want to go there. Plus I would have to leave Zeak and that's something I really really don't want to do but I don't know who else could help Brandon without knowing the kind of person he really is. I guess I will just have to talk to Zeak about it.

I just wish this day would end so I can go home to him. I really don't know how I survived ten years without him. I hate being away from him when he or I have to work. And I can't get over how dann sexy he yes plus he's a fucking Dr. I always knew he was incredibly smart but I never knew he wanted to be a doctor.

Zeak is everything I could ever hope or ask for and I'm never letting him go.
