Chapter Twenty: Lovesick?!

"Can I just start this by saying Ten won't shut up about you? Before he goes to sleep he talks about how cute you are. When he's practising he always wonders if he should send you a message or if you've eaten."

"It's sickening really." Taeyong teased.

Hani's breath caught in her throat. She couldn't imagine that anyone cared about her that much, let alone Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul.

"I hate you both."

"Well excuse us. We're trying to help your relationship here."

Hani nearly choked, sitting up straight yet again, "Relationship?! Since when?!"

"Oh c'mon, Hani. Every single day he talks about you. Especially these past couple of weeks."

"Jae's right, Hani. He feels terrible for not being able to explain to you about what's happened. Every single day it's, 'I wish I could talk to Hani, she would make me feel better. Even if she just called me teabag'. Honestly, he's a love-sick puppy when it comes to you. By the way, why do you call him teabag? That's not very romantic."

Hani spluttered, "Love-sick?!"

"Yes, but what about our question?"

"You guys are too much."

"Are we? I mean all we're doing is telling you the truth."

"Are you going to tell me this plan? I thought you both didn't have a lot of time?"

"Oh yeah, right...the plan. We completely forgot."

"The plan's simple. You act as though you've fallen out with him, don't text him until he texts you first and then you're relationship should be back on track."

"We're not dating! But anyway....It's a waiting game?"

"Exactly."

"Okay...How long will I need to wait?"

"Probably only a couple of days...maybe a week or two at the most."

"A week or two? Really? I've not spoken to him for ages though."

"Trust me, we know. Ten really misses you, Hani."

"I know. I would miss me too."

"You two suit each other so well. You both think that you're the shit."

"Thanks I guess? Is he there?"

"He was. But he left because he was going to hit us for telling you about how cringe worthy he is." Jaehyun explained before laughing a little.

"Anyway, we need to go and practise. Hopefully we get to meet you face to face soon, Hani."

"Okay, don't overwork yourselves. Also tell Ten that he sucks but it's okay because for some reason I can still put up with him."

"We will Hani. We hope everything works out for you both."

"I hope so too. Drink plenty of water."

Hani hung up and smiled at her phone. She probably looked like she should be in a mental asylum but she couldn't help it...she knew that Ten was safe and thinking of her, And that was all she needed.

Just to be on the safe side, Hani opened her and Ten's messages and began to type.

Hani:
Okay. I see that you no longer
want to talk to me.
I won't be a burden to you any longer.
I'm sorry for causing so many problems
for you and always getting in your way. I promise I'll no longer be a pain in your ass.

Hani:
So...I guess that I'll say goodbye now, even though I don't want to. I hope you do well in NCT and do well in the future.

Hani sent the messages and sighed. Even though she knew that it was all for show and Ten would talk to her soon enough she still felt a little deflated. It was going to be difficult not to text him when something happened but Hani knew that it wouldn't be forever...Or at least, that's what she hoped.

Her mom knocked on the door again, "Hani..."

"Yeah?"

"Was it him?"

"No, it was his friends. His company found out so they took his phone off of him."

"Why are they treating the poor boy as if he's a child? He's a grown man in his 20's. He's going to want to meet new people."

Hani nodded her head and looked down at her phone and the texts that she had just sent.

"It's okay. Everything will be fine. You'll see."

Also y'all need to point out mistakes bc I was busy af when I wrote this but I made a promise so....
Anyway, I can't believe that this is chapter 20 (don't ask me when this will end bc tbh I have no clue. I'm just going with it at the minute).
