I almost lost him...
Now, to go help the others.
I fixed Nightwing's auto tail and transformed into a night fury. We both looked at each other then nodded. We dashed for the others, both of us roaring at Toothless, letting him know we were coming. He looked our way, and told Hiccup. He looked over at us as well, and smiled. I could tell he was happy that I got Nightwing back.
We flew over to Hiccup, and I transformed into my hybrid form.
"Welcome back, Nightwing." He says, smiling at us.
Nightwing roars in response.
"He says thank you." I translate, as Hiccup can't understand Nightwing.
"Ready to battle this dragon once and for all?"
He asks.
"We can't fully take down the Red Death without another alpha." I explain.
"What if you were the new alpha?" He asks me eagerly.
I look surprised. "M-me?! Why me?"
"Because. You're strong enough to become an alpha. You just haven't released it yet."
I shake my head. "There's no way I could be an alpha. I'm just a girl. Besides, I'm not a full dragon; only half a one."
"Yes but you're the only one who's powerful enough to save the dragons. Please, (y/n)."
He said. I could tell he was practically begging me to do this. Or at least... try.
So I reluctantly gave in.
"Fine. I'll do it. But just so you know, I might die in the process."
I fly off in my dragon form before he could ask what it meant.
With all concentration, I transformed into an alpha Night Fury, and everyone behind me started talking.
"I didn't know she could do that!"
"Wow.. this is so cool!"
"She's amazing!"
I practically ignored the comments I was getting. I didn't want to lose my alpha form. I needed to concentrate.
My scales were glowing bright green. My eyes had become brighter, and more powerful-looking. I knew I felt more powerful as well, as I flew a lot faster than I originally did in my normal dragon form.
Luckily, I didn't lose my scale designs.
They actually seemed to be.. glowing. It'd fade from my Green scales to bright blue on the bottom. I liked it.
A lot.
I had to focus.
I roared at my alpha; challenging him.
The alpha accepted. I decided to make this into a "tag" kind of challenge.
I race away, making the Red Death chase after me. I look below me and see that everyone else--even Nightwing--are on the ground next to Stoick and Gobber.
I fly as fast as I can around the boulders and rocks, while making the Red Death hit the rocks.
The alpha soon stops following me. I look back to where he's going, and I see he's going after my friends.
More specifically, Hiccup.
I growl and I rush towards them.
Then, the alpha does something I never knew he could do. He spits ice at him, making sure he kills him.
But before the ice reaches him, Toothless jumps into the ice to protect him from getting killed. I fly there, praying that Toothless and Hiccup are okay.
I start to lose hope as Valka rushes down and tries to break them free of the ice.
But instead, the ice started glowing.
I look down and see that Toothless was turning into an alpha as well..
'Oh my god..' I thought.
Pretty soon, the ice breaks free, and I see Toothless covering Hiccup, protecting him.
"Wow..." I say out loud.
"Go help (y/n), bud. I'll be here." Hiccup says, switching his tail to an auto-tail.
Toothless nods and flies up to me.
"Thank you for saving Hiccup." I tell him.
"Of course. He's my best friend. And he's yours, too."
I smile.
"Ready to take down this beast once for all?" I ask.
"I can't. I'm not as strong as you." He says, sadly.
"But you can distract him while I attack." I say, hoping he'll say yes.
He smiles and nods.
We rush the alpha, and Toothless distracts him while I fire at the Red Death. I could tell he plasma blasts hurt him.
I fired everywhere. Under his belly, his face, even inside his mouth.
This caused him to lose concentration on the other dragons, and they all came to help. They kept firing at him, while I concentrated so hard that my next plasma blasts could potentially kill him.
Yet, I knew this was very dangerous for me. I knew that going this far could destroy me. But I didn't care.
I wanted that alpha death dead.
I gave him all I got one last time.
After I blasted him, the red death fell. I flew up to him, and he wasn't breathing.
I felt so happy.
But I started to feel exhausted.
So exhausted, I transformed back into my human form and I started to fall. Toothless started to catch me. He caught me in his wings, and carefully flew me down to the ground. Everyone rushed over to us, and after that, I saw the light draining from my eyes. After that, I heard nothing.

Hiccup's POV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She started to fall.
Luckily, I saw Toothless catch her in his wings before she hit the ground.
Everyone else, including me, ran over to her.
I ran to Toothless, and I could tell he wasn't in the best shape.
"Toothless?" I ask, hoping he was alive.
He picked his head up, and he lifted his wings to reveal (y/n). I ran to her, and she wasn't breathing and her body was freezing.
I realized.
She's... she's dead.
She died saving us.
I started to tear up.
The girl I loved... dead.
The girl I could go to about anything..
Dead.
My mom came over to me.
"Hiccup, I'm so sorry. It's too late." She says.
I look at Toothless.
"Thank you, boy. For catching her."
I rubbed his head and we all flew back home, (y/n) in my lap, resting against my chest.
We reach home, and I set her on the couch.
'We can bury her tomorrow. It's too late now'. I said.
Late in the night, I hear a sound that doesn't sound normal at all.
